We are currently seeking an experienced and customer oriented Desktop Service Technician to support our office located in Denver, CO. The position will function as part of a service delivery team providing helpdesk and deskside support to local customers and remote services to remote customers. Outstanding customer service is a must with interfacing with our customers. Reliable transportation is a must.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Image, install, assist, and troubleshoot company hardware and software configurations. Hardware includes HP and Dell laptops and desktops and Software includes Microsoft Windows 7/10 OS, Microsoft Office, Anti-Virus Protection, drive encryption, VPN, web-conference, etc.

  • Create, update, and resolve Service Delivery support tickets.

  • Ability to leverage knowledge and collaborate with other service delivery technicians to formulate solutions.

  • Takes direction coordinates with the ITPM, prioritizing time and multiple requests, incidents, and projects.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication for customer interaction, service delivery collaboration, and ticket generation.

  • Self-starter with ability to identify and communicate areas of improvement in service delivery.

  • Knowledge of MS Active Directory.

  • Knowledge of company and project security requirements.

  • Ability to review SIEM logs and report/resolve issues.

  • Contributes to Asset Management tracking tasks.

  • Ability to work with end-users in a face-to-face environment, provide end-user instruction as necessary.

  • Understanding of tape backup systems.

  • Procure/order IT equipment.

  • Participate in security activities such as monitoring and escorting visitors.

  • Versatility for cross-training into other areas of IT functions to provide coverage as assigned.

  • Adheres to corporate and project policies, procedures, and requirements.

  • Must be team oriented and onsite.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must posses planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or cybersecurity with a minimum of 4 years of related experience. Consideration of applicants with 8 years or more experience with demonstrated progression through higher levels of responsibility may be considered in lieu of a college degree.

  • Ability to safely move desktop/server hardware, up to 50lbs and install them at their final location.

  • Domestic travel not exceeding 25% to surrounding off-sites in the Denver area.

  • Ability to work in a dynamically fast pace environment while maintaining detail oriented awareness.

  • Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

Additional experience will the following will be considered a plus:

  • Experience with VMWare

  • ​Experience with Citrix

  • ​Experience with Windows based Servers (2008-2016)

  • Knowledge of AlienVault products or similar forensic tools

  • Knowledge of Barracuda products

  • Knowledge of McAfee and Bitlocker encryption

  • Local candidates preferred
