We are looking for an senior application/software engineer to join the Payroll development in Guadalajara, MX. In this position you will be responsible for designing technical architecture for a suite of applications which businesses use to manage HR and Payroll information including setup, worker processing factoring in details coming in time, absence, benefits and compensation. This will involve working with a team of legislative analyst on the compliance rules and building an architecture which can be used by our customers to implement their business processes. You will get experience working with compliance rules for the US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil. You will drive the long-term development strategy, technical architecture, development framework, and processes for the product engineering team.

Must have more than 8 years of experience as a hands-on software engineer.
Must have recent experience developing cloud applications.
Must have more than 5 years experience architecting highly available, scalable, and distributed systems
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science required, Masters in Computer Science preferred
In depth understanding of cloud-based systems and software engineering processes
In depth understanding of software architecture methodologies
Understanding of object oriented Systems and multiple languages used for implementing them (C , Java, etc.)
Understanding of distributed API's and cloud integration methodologies
Understanding of applications role in the cloud systems (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS)
Understanding of competitor payroll functionality (e.g. ADP, Ceridian, Workday, Paychex, Ultipro, etc)
Excellent communication skills - written and spoken
Ability to lead projects with stakeholders from multiple teams
Ability to work in a global environment with team members around the world
Strong ability to communicate complex and technically challenging concepts
Strong facilitation and presentation skills
Knowledge of human capital management systems and their capabilities
Understanding of industry workforce management functionality
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
