Preferred Qualifications

Oracle’s Application Development creative team is seeking a

graphic artist. In this role, you will develop a range of visual content for initiatives

within the Applications Product Development organization. As a part of our

team, you will turn abstract technical and business concepts related to

Oracle’s industry leading enterprise cloud applications into innovative, strategy-driven

visual assets. Your audience is global and

your primary stage is cloud.oracle.com.

The successful candidate will be a key

member in a creative group dedicated to the creative needs of Oracle

Applications Product Development organization.

Day to day, the Graphic Artist works collaboratively with Product and Program

Managers, Engineers and other Creative Professionals to create original and

engaging content for print collateral, cloud.oracle.com, executive

presentations, marketing videos, product user interfaces and product documentation.

Each of your projects will present an opportunity to push your

creative limits, solve marketing communications problems, learn new skills and

technologies and result in infusing our marketing and documentation collateral

with energy and innovation. The work is fast paced and can cover a wide variety

of deliverables including original illustration, video, motion graphics,

photography, icon and logo design.

To be successful in this role you will need to be strong

contributor both individually and as a team member. The work is non-routine involving

the application of design, technical and business skills. It is equally important to know how to balance

innovative thinking, client expectations and project time lines.

Responsibilities

Prepares visual presentations by designing art

and copy layouts.

Effectively manages projects to deliver drafts

and final work product on time, within standards and exceeding client

expectations.

Skills/Qualifications

  • A portfolio showcasing

innovative original design solutions and visual story telling across a variety

of media

  • A passion for clean,

functional, impactful, contemporary yet sophisticated design

  • A strong understanding

of brand, composition, and color, with a keen eye for typography and

photography, and meticulous attention to detail

  • Excellent sketching

and 3D rendering skills

  • An understanding and

respect for the limitations of brand guidelines balanced by an ability to push

brand guidelines in creative, unexpected ways

  • Ability to establish

professional relationships with illustrators, video editors, web team, program

and product managers.

  • Effective

communication skills (both in conversation and in writing)

  • English fluency

  • Ability to articulate

design concepts effectively

  • 3 years experience with a design studio,

advertising agency or corporate design group

  • BFA in Graphic Design

or equivalent experience

  • Highly competent with

Adobe Creative Cloud with specific demonstrable experience creating with the

following tools: Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe

Photoshop

  • Bonus points for

experience with video editing in Adobe Premiere Pro, Cinema 4D

  • Competent

with productivity tools (video conferencing, MS Office)

  • High

level of profincency in Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Solid

grounding in user interface design

  • Strong

understanding of the technical side of graphic and visual design

  • Self-directed learner

to stay current with design trends and technologies to involved with your work

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Responsible for creating, evaluating and modifying prototypes to support evolving hardware and software application development.

As a member of the User Experience team, you will develop and apply software design/usability processes in the investigation of technical problems. May develop user profiles, with emphasis on human error control, display issues, visual interaction, physical manipulation and task and objective analyses. Provide product usability, evaluation and support to product development teams, including the analysis and investigation of applications/systems including tactile methods, visual graphics, web, multimedia, voice response and conversational user interaction. May assist in developing design concept and implementation, providing input on user design considerations. May produce specifications describing user needs and internal structures for product in development.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically four years of software engineering or related experience needed.
