OAL runs the applications that run Oracle. ERP New Initiative is a global organization
within OAL and is responsible for the Fusion Migration to the Oracle Public
Cloud (OPC) program, a multi-year corporate initiative to move Oracle's
internal business applications to the OPC.
The Fusion Migration PMO drives
OAL’s development of custom solutions and implementation of Oracle Applications
Cloud services, testing, production transition, and post go-live stability
Project Manager will report to the Director, Fusion Migration to OPC PMO, and
will be responsible for driving multiple projects or initiatives at the same
time to successful completion.
Migration to OPC PMO project managers must be capable to perform any of these
roles on a project: Scrum Master, project manager, or test manager. Experienced project managers will be
considered for the role of program manager or SAFe Release Train Engineer. Every IT Project Manager may perform the same
or different roles on several projects or initiatives at the same time.
Prioritize value delivery tothe customer
Coordinate and Drivecross-functional activities across OAL teams, functions, groups, ororganizations or LOBs
Consistently guide teams to thedesired outcome even when faced with setbacks
Apply industry-leadingpractices found in scaled agile, lean agile, or SAFe; agile developmentincluding XP, TDD, and BDD; and program and project management
Take a hands-on approach tokeep all projects or initiatives on schedule
Ensure projects or initiativesexecute to schedule, scope, and budget constraints
Tracking, and Reporting:
Create, optimize, and driveplans using the industry-leading practices such as SAFe PI Planning andIteration Planning and Agile Scrum and Kanban
Effectively adapt and modifyplans based on changing conditions or retrospectives
Track team and program progressusing JIRA, Confluence, and other available tools
Explore other industry-leadingor emerging tooling options
Communicate progress regularlyto all stakeholders including GPOs and executives
Management and Problem Solving:
Identify risks and issues thatneed mitigation or resolution, lead the decision-making process withstakeholders, and communicate outcomes clearly and in actionable form
Work with development owners toassess risk mitigation and issue resolution trade-offs between short andlong-term and balance the needs across all stakeholders
Ensure efficiency, quality, andshared vision by getting the right people involved in decisions
Create a collaborativeenvironment where people are encouraged to share information,constructively debate, and communicate freely
Assess project team plans andmake tough calls when required
Learn from projectretrospectives and apply learned lessons
Collaborate with key businesspartners in the lines of business, business operations, productdevelopment, IT operation, and delivery teams to ensure success of theprojects
Align project teams withbusiness objectives and understand the inter-dependencies acrosscross-functional teams
Frame communication anddiscussions for the intended audience, with appropriate context and lineof sight
Create and deliver effectiveand persuasive presentations appropriate for Director and VicePresident-level audiences
3-5 years of overall technology(product or IT) implementation experience with a minimum of 2 years as ascrum master, project manager, or development lead
SAFe RTE, PO/PM, SM, Developer,or implementation experience is ideal
Experience with salesautomation, order management, ERP or SCM processes is a plus.
Excellent verbal and writtenEnglish communication skills
Proven ability to thrive in fast changing,dynamic environment while coordinating multiple initiativessimultaneously
Proven success havingconsistently delivered complex, global, cross-functional, technologyprojects for large technology companies
Firm grasp and experience inWaterfall and Scrum methodologies
Effective presenter,negotiator, and collaborator
Tolerant of a range of projecttypes, from vague to well-defined, simple to complex, implementation toinnovation
Experience with working in aglobal project team and working independently with limited day-to-daymanagement supervision
Ability to influence and leadteam members and others regardless of organizational structure orhierarchy
Strong quantitative,analytical, and problem solving skills

Project management experiencewith Cloud projects preferred
Microsoft Office (MS Project,PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)

Education, certification, & training experience:
BS/BA degree required; MS/MISor MBA is a plus.
PMI PMP, SAFe, CSM, or similarcertification/training is a plus.
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Coordinates all aspects of internal information system-specific projects from initiation to delivery. Projects often involve network, server, or software implementation and upgrades, PC deployment and the like.
Coordinates work performed by IT staff and internal customers/partners by defining project specifications, performing feasibility and needs/impact assessments. Develops detailed project plans and manages all implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training and on-time delivery within budget constraints.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically 5 years of project management, product design or related experience needed.
