What Inventory Cloud needs:

We are looking for an ambitious, talented, energetic, and

self-motivated software development manager. In this role you

will manage a team of engineers to design, develop and

maintain multiple modules in Inventory Cloud.

As manager, you will -

  • Manage a team to design, develop and maintain various Inventory Cloudmodules and projects using cutting edge Oracletechnology.

  • Define documents andmanage scope, expectations, implementation approach,deliverables and acceptance testing criteria.

  • Lead specialized areas which may have diverse functionalelements. Frequently interact with supervisors andfunctional peer group managers. May interact with seniormanagement. Demonstrate leadership skills. Detailedknowledge of several aspects within a business area needed.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Build up a top performing team of highly motivatedengineers.

  • Lead a team of software development engineers in thedesign, development, test, deployment and operation ofservices that our customers depend on.

  • Work collaboratively following the organization's vision.

  • Collaborate with other professionals to determinefunctional and non-functional requirements for newsoftware or applications

  • Use tools and methodologies to create representations forfunctions and user interface of the desired products

  • Develop high-level product specifications with attentionto system integration and feasibility

  • Define all aspects of development from appropriatetechnology and workflow to coding standards

  • Communicate successfully all concepts and guidelines tothe development team

  • Have high and strict quality standards to ensureconsistency of initial design

  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to engineers.

  • Ensure software meets all requirements of quality,security, modifiability, extensibility etc.

  • Comfortable presenting, communicating and interacting withexecutives within and outside of the organization

Preferred Skills:

  • 8 years of experience building andleading development teams that design and deliver highlyreliable and scalable business software.

  • 5 years of direct people leadershipexperience

  • Knowledge of software developmentprocesses (design, development, and testing)

  • Good knowledge of databasefundamentals and SQL specifically Oracle.

  • Understanding of Object OrientedProgramming concepts

  • Exposure to Java, C, XML, PL/SQL

  • Excellent problem solving andanalytical skills

  • Good verbal and written communication

  • Interest and flair for designing andbuilding business and industry applications specificallyin Supply Chain space.

  • Experience in Agile methodology with Scrum/Sprintconcepts

  • BS or equivalent in computerscience/engineering or relevant field

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically one year of software engineering or related experience.
