Marsh & McLennan Global Services Delivery Admin Leader in Gurgaon, India

Mercer is seeking suitably qualified candidates for the following role, to be based in Gurgaon. Purpose of Role: Mercer Operations and Technology (O&T), with over 8,000 employees across the globe, serves as a centralized group encompassing units such as Global Technology, Global Services Delivery, Mercer’s Transformation and Change Centers of Excellence. Global Services Delivery (GSD), with over 4750+ employees across 10 countries, is a strategic asset within Mercer O&T that provides market-leading offerings such as administration, consumer exchanges, actuarial valuations and investment consulting support across all the Mercer business segments – Health, Wealth and Career. GSD is in in the process of large change, re-organizing global teams around capabilities, completing the JLT integration, driving industry best-in-class process and technology initiatives. The consolidation and Transformation of the administrative (‘Admin’) business which is the largest (2700+ colleagues) and most diverse portfolio is integral to the GSD change program. The Admin business serves primarily the Mercer Wealth and Health businesses across all the regions Mercer operates in. The operations are India based and spread over Gurgaon, Noida, Mumbai and Pune. We are seeking a suitably qualified and seasoned industry expert to first consolidate, and then drive industry best-in-class practices consistently across the entire Admin portfolio across – Health and Wealth. The leader will establish a strong foundation of hi-quality service delivery, continuous improvement, technology and analytics driven transformation. We will count on you to: Integrate Admin Delivery – across business - Health and Wealth across GSD (India and Poland). The first 12 months will require bringing the whole Admin business within GSD together. S/he will draw synergies across Admin delivery for creating world-class delivery centers therefore impacting client experience. Further, will drive development of the people strategy at the country or region level, and direct units in defining their business strategies. Commercial mindset – Leads and promotes industry leading innovation to unlock commercial intelligence. Manage operations with a clear view on revenue and profitability. Deliver on economies of scale and continued focus on centralization. Owns and manages operational risk. Drives fast profitable growth & exceeds NOI commitments. Build and manage key stakeholder relationships: S/he should build credibility and confidence with the global organization and position the expertise and capability present in Admin delivery operations in India and Poland appropriately. S/he should design, supervise and actively participate in the management of business activities and manage internal client expectations, and define and coordinate relations with other stakeholders. Lead a high performing team : Build an engaged, inclusive and vibrant Team consistent with the strong People first philosophy at Mercer. The individual will manage senior leadership as well as operations functions with optimal organizational structure. S/he will manage and motivate a high performing team that is results driven, accountable and collaborative and ensure optimal resource allocation and expense management aligned with strategic intent. Further, work with HR to establish talent management, succession planning, review, and retention programs for the GSD Admin (Health and Wealth) delivery team. Drive change management initiatives : The individual will be responsible for initiating, designing and executing strategies to promote change necessary to streamline and improve operational efficiencies, lower delivery costs by adopting lean principles, and improve the profitability for the business. The individual will also be responsible for leading and managing the cultural elements of change while integrating Admin delivery into one cohesive unit. What you need to have: MBA or equivalent in Business Management or related field 18+ years of experience with at least 7 years in managing large global operations delivery, off-shoring and simplifying business processes Strong people and team building skills, be curious and build a learning organization. Towards this, possess the curiosity, willingness to learn and change in oneself and the team. Self-starter with a strong Results Orientation, as demonstrated by the ability to pick up new challenges, explore opportunities, and work towards new and stretch goals for himself / herself and the team. Achieves beyond what is expected, even under adverse circumstances. Free and open communication within the team to help form specific decisions and plans, and the creation of a performance-oriented work culture. In addition, the ability to recognize contributors, and respect the concerns and limitations of individual team members while assigning tasks. Deep and relevant expertise, to hit the ground running. Experience running large-scale operation in Third party BPM, with exposure to end-end Pension administration. Experience working in large GIC will be preferred, as will be cross-functional experience running support functions like Business Excellence, Transformation. Strong Collaboration and Influencing skills, as demonstrated by the ability to work in teams and actively engage with colleagues to openly discuss issues and utilize their expertise and inputs towards achieving goals. Additionally, the ability to build informal networks, both internally and externally and view them as part of the value creation process. Strategic Orientation, as demonstrated by the ability to understand the business given the context of the group and the industry to articulate evolving priorities for the business with a three-four year horizon. In addition, the ability to frame appropriate strategic questions for their area of business and adapt short term plans as business priorities evolve for the company. Experience driving large Change, as demonstrated by constructively challenging status quo, enabling innovation, risk-taking and experimentation. Champions new ideas, explains the need for change to others, and points out specific opportunities for change, focusing on future possibilities and opportunities.
