The Sales and Operations Trainee is responsible for maximizing sales revenue for the branch through excellent customer service on existing orders, closing sales from inbound inquiries to successful outbound telemarketing. They provide customers with expert advice on equipment selection, operation and maintenance and protect company property through adherence to company policies.
Follow up with customer to ensure on time delivery and equipment condition.
Successfully maximize results from sales opportunities. Follow up on all rate inquiries and close all pending deals. Know competitive pricing, procedures, and tendencies. Notify Sales Representatives of any and all leads immediately.
Communicate all potential/lost rents to the Branch Manager and Sales Representative immediately.
Coordinate equipment handling for rentals. Ensure all equipment is located/secured for all rentals. Before leaving each day, both present and following workday must be prepared and first deliveries arranged.
Comply with credit procedures including credit limit violations. Check all overdue Rental Agreements for credit limit violations and exposure on a daily basis.
Maintain information records as required.
Complete any and all special assignments or projects from Branch Manager in a timely manner.
Drives change from within to improve customer satisfaction and uses teamwork to tackle problems.
Ability to engage in natural verbal interaction with customers

Solid and proven computer skill set (knowledge of MS Office is preferred)

High School Diploma/GED
Bachelor's degree preferred
Conditions of Employment
Experience in customer service, sales or operations
Knowledge of the rental industry, including knowledge of industrial and construction equipment and tools a plus
Must have valid Class G license
Clean driving record
