Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an engineer with 10+ years of experience applying Radio Frequency (RF) engineering principals to DoD and Navy spectrum dependent technologies. The positions primary responsibilities will be to provide management oversight, leadership, training, quality control, and technical expertise in the review and certification of spectrum dependent devices. to a team of engineers support requires knowledge of the review and certification of spectrum dependent devices either through the NTIA or the FCC. The candidate should have experience with DOD acquisition process, the review and certification of spectrum dependent devices, spectrum management, and technical leadership. The position requires understanding of a wide variety of spectrum dependent systems including radars, communications, data links, and SATCOM. The work will require coordination and engagement with Navy program offices, DON and DOD Chief Information Offices, and other federal agencies. Finally the work will require review and development of spectrum related policies and procedures applicable both nationally and internationally.

Minimum Requirements

  • Possess an engineering degree from an accredited university or college,

  • 10+ years’ experience with applying the principles of the performance of the Radio Frequency Engineering analysis.

  • Requires Secret clearance; Preferred: TS (SCI) eligible.

  • Must be a United States citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledg of the either the Federal Communications Commision (FCC) or the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) system certification process

  • Knowledge of any of the following softwares: Spectrum Certification System (SCS), Equipment Location Certification Information database (EL-CID), Spectrum XXI, Host Nation Spectrum Worldwide Database Online (HNSWDO), or Stepstone

  • Technical Leadership

  • Experience with Identify Friend or Foe (IFF) equipment or standards

  • World Radio Conference Support

  • Development of Spectrum related standards and policies

  • Spectrum XXI, HNSWDO, or Stepstone.

  • Federal Communications Commission (FCC) or National Telecommunications Information Administration (NTIA) Certification process

  • Spectrum Auctions or the Presidential Broadband Initiative

  • JTIDS/MIDS EMC Features Certification

  • Link 16 Pulse Deconfliction Server (LPDS)

  • DoD Radars, Communication systems, Data Links, or SATCOM
