Position: Internal Sales Specialist Microsoft
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a key member of the overall Arrow Account Management team, the prime function of the Internal Sales Specialist - Microsoft is to actively contribute to the growth of the Microsoft business through developing a set of defined key accounts, working alongside the Account Director & Cloud Teams.
The successful candidate will be a professional salesperson who can demonstrate a career of consistent over achievement within a sales role.
This is primarily an office-based role with the main sales tool being the telephone & email, with occasional external meetings/seminars where appropriate, however this is not a major aspect of the role.

Meeting profit targets on the sale of Microsoft & Associated Products & Services
Developing, maintaining, managing and growing a defined list of accounts that you will be working on in partnership with an aligned external Business Development Manager, by being proactive and providing excellent account management & customer service, resolving enquiries fully, swiftly and pleasantly
A structured approach to sales, i.e. mining information for the right contacts, building rapport with key people, cross-selling multiple products in an opportunity, building confidence and trust within the customer base
Keeping customer information and contacts accurate and up to date on all systems where possible
Working in partnership with the various Quote & Config teams, producing weekly reports to identify opportunities in your customer base, to follow up, qualify, upsell and forecast accordingly
Understanding customer requirements and work within time set and guidelines
Maintaining knowledge of each vendor channel partner programs, deal registration & incumbency rules
Providing support within the business across all vendor teams as required
Assisting in call out days, promotional campaigns and other sales focused activities where necessary
Identifying & delivering on opportunity
Dealing with ambiguity
Account territory management
Skills and Experience Required
Experience in a Sales role within the IT industry
Ability to sell solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences, primarily over the telephone
Self-motivated with a hardworking and proactive approach
Capable of learning technical concepts of the product portfolio (training will be given)
Self-starter with outgoing personality but with an unselfish team player mentality
Ability to cope under pressure and prioritise work accordingly
Sound business acumen and ability to understand and interact with the customer
Competent in Word Processing and Spreadsheet packages
