Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Participates in and/or supports the Premium Audit organization and leadership to better understand changing business processes, and organizational and technology capabilities. Leads and coordinates planning initiatives and development activities with LOB partners. Conducts competitive, trend, economic and financial analysis for new capabilities, technologies, and/or operational practices that advance business imperatives (i.e. digital). Advocates for the appropriate use of technology to develop and/or improve the organization's processes. Keeps current with the latest premium audit business and technology trends and innovations understanding the vendors and capabilities in the space. Consults and works with organizational leadership to determine premium audit capability needs to ensure business strategies are delivered and utilized to full potential. Drives business case development in partnership with functional business owners. Leads prioritization across multiple opportunities obtaining, aligning, and maintaining organizational buy-in to road map and execution plans. Provides input into the Strategic Premium Audit Portfolio investment prioritization process for projects and enhancements. Determines objectives, scope, solution approach, timelines and detailed, multi-generational release and executional plans for initiatives within the Premium Audit Portfolio. Tracks progress, ensuring that activities are accomplished within agreed upon budget and timeframes and accountable for successful delivery of the solution. Creates an improvement process methodology that identifies, captures and applies improvement to the business process development and maintenance methodologies based on lessons learned. Leads the premium audit production support, business analysts and functional testing teams ensuring the effective use of resources in the development, implementation and maintenance of systems and projects. All other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Premium Audit Capability leader will partner with senior leadership to develop and deliver a vision, strategy and objectives for audit capabilities for Travelers-wide consumption. In addition, the leader will be execution focused able to take vision and strategy through to delivery of key capabilities and associated business benefits. The leader will use cross Travelers collaboration, external environment data and understanding of Travelers business model to develop and deliver the strategy. In addition, the leader is able to balance strategy development and communication with execution and roadmap development necessary to bring that vision to life. The incumbent can bridge an understanding of technology with the business model to define optimal solutions. The incumbent will have deep subject matter expertise and experience with the domain. This leader manages 10-20 staff.

Position Type:


Education, Work Experience & Knowledge:

BA/BS preferred. 8 years related work experience preferred. Demonstrated expertise in strategic and business planning. Demonstrated leadership/employee development experience. Strong project management skills. Familiarity with Insurance Industry (e.g. competitors, compliance, operations, products). Operations and/or Premium Audit Experience preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:
