Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for system programming and analysis tasks of intermediate complexity within a single system or group of small systems. Responsibilities include performing analysis, design, programming and configuration functions (includes defining technical requirements) with a very high degree of accuracy and speed. Performs analysis, assessment and resolution for defects and incidents of intermediate complexity and escalates appropriately. Builds effective relationships with stakeholders. Utilizes business knowledge to explain technical activities in business terms. Seeks opportunities to expand technical knowledge and capabilities. Performs basic project management responsibilities. Coordinates project work with GSO partners. Provides technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced employees. Applies knowledge of current industry trends and techniques to formulate solutions within the context of assigned projects. Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Bond & Specialty Insurance Technology organization seeks a talented Software Developer to join our Claim Agile Release Train. You will work on a Product Team following the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and will be responsible for assisting in the development, maintenance, testing and support of Bond Claim applications.


You are a talented software developer with at least 3+ years of development lifecycle experience. You enjoy seeking opportunities to be a technical advocate to design, develop, and influence strategic software applications. You stay on top of the latest technology trends and have a passion for responsive web, web services and API enabled architecture.   • Web service development using WCF, WebAPI and Micro-service architectures

  • Trunk-based development, Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery

  • Source control practices leveraging Subversion (SVN) and GitHub

  • SQL Server design concepts and development

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge:

Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. 5 years of programming/development experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Operates standard office equipment. Requires extended periods of computer use. Requires extended periods of sitting.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required. 3 years of programming/development experience required.
