Target Openings:


Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for story definition, estimation and sequencing with the team.

  • Primary ownership for maintaining and understanding Backlog.

  • Assist in the increment planning and objectives.

  • Responsible for building and maintaining the feature team backlog.

  • Collaborate with SME’s and others (as needed) to resolve questions and issues.

  • Participate in Team and System Demos & Retrospectives.

  • Collaborate with Product Management Team and Product Owners.

  • Address and resolve team impediments working with team and Scrum Master.

  • Assist in defect resolution.

  • Communicate with Product Management and Program teams regarding iteration and initiative status, issues, blockers, post-implementation needs.

Job Summary:

As a Product Owner, help to drive the execution of IT initiatives in the Commercial Surety Business Unit, working with business Subject Matter Experts (SME’s), technical team and other team members/stakeholders in an Agile work environment. Work with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, specify and validate business and solution requirements to meet business needs for today and the future. Working with a diverse stakeholder group, identify areas of contention and create a shared understanding between the customer community and the solution delivery team while maintaining alignment with Business and IT Strategies.

Position Type:


Education, Work Experience & Knowledge:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience. (Business Systems Analyst or Product Owner)

  • Experience working in an Agile Environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, MIS, or other related field preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

One year of experience in Business Systems or equivalent required High school diploma or equivalent required.
