POSITION SUMMARY

The Cloud Security Advisor role is responsible for designing innovative security controls as part of Aetnas Cloud Security Program. Responsibilities include working with engineering teams to develop security controls, communicating the program goals, and driving control implementation across Aetnas cloud environments, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.

Fundamental Components:

Designs, implements and deploys information security policies, procedures and guidelines for cloud computing.

Responsible for developing, maintaining, publishing and/or enforcing information security standards and guidelines encompassing data, and intellectual security.

Develops KPIs and procedures to measure the effectiveness of cloud security controls.

Embed cloud security controls into existing IT environments and processes.

Communicate Cloud Security Program controls and goals to engineering teams and executive stakeholders, both verbally and in writing

Participates in working groups, standards bodies, conferences, and industry events related to cloud security

Initiates, facilitates, and promotes activities to foster information security awareness within the organization.

Provides direct information security training to all employees, contractors, alliances, and other third parties.

Serves as an internal information security consultant to the organization.

Monitors advancements in information security technologies.

Communicates unresolved information security exposures, misuse, or non-compliance situations to senior management.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

  • Experience designing and implementing cloud security controls at enterprise scale, including Identity & Access Management, Network Security, IT Hygiene, Software Security, Logging and Incident Response, and Data Security.

  • Extensive expertise in cloud computing and security architectures and capabilities

  • Expertise and experience with Amazon Web Services capabilities, including: EC2, VPCs, Lambda, S3, Glacier, Redshift, CloudFormation, CloudTrail, IAM roles, CloudHSM

    Expertise and experience with Microsoft Azure capabilities, including: Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, Application Gateways, Blob storage, Resource Manager, Azure Active Directory, Azure Information Protection, Key Vault, Intune, Office 365

  • Familiarity with containerization, microservices, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code concepts, and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, GitHub

  • Expertise with additional cloud capabilities such as: Google Cloud, IBM BlueMix, Salesforce, Box

  • Understanding of and experience with Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) technology

  • CISSP preferred

    EDUCATION

    The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
