Director, Process Engineering
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides capability and process ownership services to improve overall business performance. Identifies impediments to effective and efficient operational performance; introduces change in business operational processes and organizational behaviors that have a positive impact on bottom line results.
Develops solutions to complex problems and assists in the implementation of recommendations which result in significant improvements in operational performance through redesigned workflows, proper staffing levels, redefined roles and responsibilities, productive behaviors and effective use of technology.
Actively participates in the conduct of process engineering studies as a project leader for studies which potentially have significant impact on business operations. Consults with senior leadership team and their teams regarding implementation of study recommendations and the approaches to be taken in executing change to the business operation. Creates and submits periodic status updates of current and completed projects as data becomes available.
Generates innovative ways to more efficiently meet business needs. Develops solutions to moderately complex problems and assists in the implementation of recommendations which result in significant improvements in operational performance through redesigned workflows, proper staffing levels, redefined roles and responsibilities, productive behaviors and effective use of technology. Influences leaders to implement recommendations.
Maintains advanced knowledge of techniques and methodologies, emerging technology, business management, theory and techniques, leadership, human relations and effective communication skills, quality customer service and company organizations, productivity and terminology.
Responsible for the successful execution and delivery of capabilities including:
Partnering with Sr. Director (if applicable) to align in flight initiatives to roadmap and coordinate on-going to activities to ensure continued alignment.
Partnering with various support organizations to assist in building project teams to adequately manage delivery.
Adequately and appropriately driving solution architecture to achieve desired capabilities weighted against business value.
Ensuring timely and cost effective delivery of capabilities through active management.
Building and managing (with project business owners) post implementation monitoring and benefit realization.
Recommending improvements to policies, procedures and workflow, including handoffs with Business and Strategic Support units.
Participates on project teams to fulfill assignments and delivery. Actively participates in process engineering studies as a project leader or individual contributor assuming responsibility for major studies which potentially have significant impact to the B&SI organization.
Provides consultation to process engineers for assigned projects. Reviews process to determine whether appropriate approach, methodologies, and problem solving techniques are appropriately employed. Coordinates workload planning and ensure assigned projects are completed on time.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge:
Four year college degree in a business oriented discipline, Mathematics, Engineering or Operations Management
Strong knowledge of process design and improvement techniques and methods
Conducted multiple Lean Six Sigma black belt level projects Strong Mathematics / Statistics skills
Proven analytic skills Solid management and organization skills
Carefully listens to customer needs to identify issues and develop appropriate solutions
Makes effective and persuasive oral and written presentations.
Strong negotiating skills Interacts effectively with all levels of staff
Facilitates groups of people to develop/introduce new ideas Proficient at using Microsoft desktop tools
Operates standard office equipment (Continuous) Sitting (Can stand at will) (Continuous) Use of Keyboards, Sporadic 10-Key (Continuous)
Education - Bachelor of Science in Business, Mathematics, Engineering or Operations Management required. Work Experience - 7 years relevant business experience required. Certification - Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification required.
