Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Provides full range of compensation expertise and consulting services to assigned clients. Advises, consults and assists HR Managers/Generalists and clients in considering options to address issues relating to compensation administration, policy interpretation, job design, turnover, equity, etc. Performs market pricing, job documentation and evaluation, survey participation and related data analysis, compensation program administration, planning and overall execution in collaboration with the compensation team and HR Generalists. Maximizes application of compensation tools to support business initiatives/compensation strategies. Develop solid knowledge of assigned business area. Studies and analyzes data, monitors trends and recommends enhancements and changes to assure the retention, motivation and recruitment of key personnel. As requested, provides guidance on the compensation aspects of a new hire offer package, including base, bonus, and equity replacement valuation and considerations. Provides management (executive, business unit/staff department management) with reports/data, analysis and executive summaries to assist in making performance and rewards decisions across the organization. Assists business groups with developing new or revising existing job descriptions. Reviews draft job description and provides input to assist clients in fully describing job. Also provides direction on job structuring and identifies organizational design issues as appropriate in support of organizational design functions. Ensure HR team members and managers have the knowledge and tools they need to effectively manage performance and administer compensation consistent with company philosophy and goals. May design and/or deliver compensation related training. Continue to seek ways to influence decision making process and be relied on as a key contributor. Leads selected projects that are technically complex and/or sensitive. Provide support to compensation lead and team members. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Specific & Technical Skills & Competencies:

Strong written, oral and presentation skills. Excel, Word and related software package skills a must. Experience with PeopleSoft, Access, or related software applications is preferred. Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to balance timeliness and accuracy. Is flexible - adjusts to new situations and changing priorities. Routinely takes initiative to identify issues and solve problems; thoroughly analyzes information and makes timely, practical decisions and recommendations. Strong customer service orientation. Designs competitive and cost effective total compensation programs, practices and solutions that support management in leading the creation and maintenance of a high performance culture. Apply technical compensation expertise to unique business applications while being the recognized subject matter expert capable of adding value to the business enterprise. Develop and provide business customers with appropriate tools to effectively and efficiently make compensation decisions. Provide project management leadership for a variety of projects related to compensation policy. Develop and present compensation training to business area on various compensation issues as appropriate.

Position Type:


Education, Work Experience & Knowledge:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with course work in business administration and/or industrial relations. 6-8 years of Compensation/HR experience preferred--experience with and knowledge of compensation compliance laws/requirements, market analysis and pay structure design methodologies, variable compensation and equity plans. Solid analytical problem solving, influencing, communications, leadership, and project management skills required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum 4 years of experience working in compensation, human resources or analytical field such as finance or accounting.
