Mgr, Accounting Specialist
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Support preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting of International results. This includes consolidation and analysis of country financials as well as reporting and analysis of International’s segment financials. Succinctly communicate key drivers of results to partners in countries, segments, and corporate.
Prepare reports to summarize and forecast business activity and financial results. Provide high level analysis and recommendations for corrective action as necessary.
Identify opportunities to improve monthly close process efficiency and accuracy across International and country finance.
Partnership with BI Finance Technology TM1 team and General Ledger unit on enhancements and maintenance of financial reporting tools.
Oversight and monitoring of the control environment across countries. Work with countries on control issues that arise outside of audit processes, streamline and align controls across countries where necessary, and assist in pre-audit preparation to proactively identify gaps and corrective plans.
Partner with countries during audit process to attend audit walkthroughs, prepare self-disclosures, review draft audit reports, develop Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), and monitor progress of CAPs post-audit. Liaise with counterparts in BI, PI, BSI finance to proactively identify trend in audit findings enterprise-wide.
Involvement in ad-hoc projects to support senior management. Including cost benefit analysis on potential business opportunities abroad and long-term International trend analysis.
Contribute to the achievement of business objectives through the accurate and timely identification and resolution of accounting issues/opportunities.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with members of the finance communities within International, Corporate, and all Segments (BI, PI, BSI). Navigate a highly matrixed organization to streamline any reporting needs. Assist with continued partnership and coordination with finance counterparts.
Assist in the preparation of the International Plan and reforecast.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred. Typically 4+ years of related work experience. General knowledge of accounting theory and practice. General Knowledge: Possesses sufficient knowledge to perform most work in normal situations.

Minimum 3 years of related work experience.

Licensing or Certificates:
Attained professional designation (CPA, CMA or AIAF) or comparable advanced professional education preferred.
