Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

The Digital Workspace Mobility Engineering Team is responsible for implementing, maintaining, automating and enhancing Travelers’ mobility platform and mobile strategy. The ideal candidate will have a passion for examining cutting edge technology as well as experience designing, building and optimizing enterprise class mobility solutions, with an emphasis on end-user devices, mobile device management, mobile application management and automation / continuous build and deployment methodologies. Specific experience with Workspace ONE is desired. Additional experience with various technology disciplines such as distributed computing, storage, networking, databases and mobile application development are also a plus. Candidate should also be experienced in drafting and editing engineering solution documents. Candidate must be able to look at complex business or engineering issues that may appear unsolvable and identify sticking points, whether they be technical, political or resource-based and solve for them. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Develops tactics and operational plans in alignment with strategic objectives for assigned technologies and projects. Drives the execution of departmental and corporate programs. Leverages infrastructure technology to develop and/or redesign technology solutions. Builds, leverages, and maintains effective alliances across technical and business community. Interacts with customers to achieve efficient, effective results. Multi-tasks, prioritizes according to business priorities and production availability requirements. Seen as a technical expert within service delivery organization (SDO) and consults across SDOs. Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

Under limited supervision, demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the activities performed related to engineering support, installation and/or operations of infrastructure technologies. Plans at a tactical level and manages the effective use of technology resources for assigned projects and functions. May direct assigned project staff to design, develop and/or implement large, complex technology solutions supporting one or more business and/or technology area. Develops and implements appropriate solutions that may involve multiple platforms, databases, software/hardware technologies and tools. Facilitates and/or participates in the design and development of database systems. Strong ability to multi-task in an environment of constantly changing priorities. This job is a team lead.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge:

Bachelor's degree in Technology or a related field preferred. 7 years of experience in Technology preferred. 2 years of experience as a technical lead preferred. Advanced knowledge of Mobility engineering preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required. 5 years of experience in Technology required.
