As a leader of the Enterprise Strategy team, you will help shape the strategy for one of the largest healthcare companies in the world. Our Enterprise Strategy team is a high-performing group that works closely with senior leadership to pave the way for the future of our company. You will work hand-in-hand with business leaders and members of the Executive Team to identify and analyze exciting new opportunities to drive growth and differentiation in a dynamic industry.

Fundamental Components included but are not limited to:

This position has a unique opportunity to lead the development and refinement of the strategy for the broader CVSH organization while also building subject matter expertise. In this role, you will also have the opportunity to meet frequently with the CEO and the BPC (Executive Leadership Team).

This leader will manage and support the development and execution of the Enterprise-wide strategic planning process, including but not limited to:

  • Business Strategic Planning: While primary content business focus will be with the HCB segment, you will have oversight for the entire Strategic Plan process for CVSH, inclusive of leading the development of industry trend overviews, regulatory/political landscapes, and guiding the segment strategic plan materials for the BPC.

  • IT and Digital: This person will manage the strategic plan development for IT and Digital and ensure connectivity to the relevant business strategies across the enterprise

  • Enterprise Planning: Leads the development of the annual Board of Directors strategy presentation; including both process management and strategy content development

  • Investment Prioritization: Partners with Treasury and Corporate Finance in evaluating and prioritizing proposed enterprise and multi-BU capital investment proposals to ensure alignment with the enterprise strategy

  • Goals Cascade: Partners with HR to develop and launch annual goal setting process to ensure ongoing alignment with strategy and cross-enterprise collaboration

  • Strategy Communications: Partners with Corporate Communications to ensure continuous, effective communication of our CVS Health Strategy to colleagues throughout the organization

  • Works closely with strategy and finance partners across the organization to ensure cross-functional collaboration and ensure alignment of business/functional strategies to our enterprise strategy

  • Effectively plans large scale meetings and strategic workshops, including facilitation and driving tangible outcomes/output

  • Stimulates strategic thinking and solves complex business problems in support of strategic direction

  • Develops communication vehicles (e.g., presentations, speeches) for a variety of executive leadership meetings

Qualifications Requirements and Preferences:

  • Master s degree required; MBA preferred

  • 15+ years leadership experience and technical/functional expertise in several of the following areas: management consulting, financial analysis, mergers and acquisitions, operations management

  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills

  • Experience driving large, complex, cross-functional processes; strategic planning experience preferred

  • Ability to identify, structure and solve business problems

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to interact with senior leadership and lead meetings/facilitate strategic workshops

Preferred Experience

  • Graduated from a top-tier graduate business or public health program

  • Preference for strategy consulting or corporate strategy/M&A experience (direct healthcare experience is preferred but not required)

  • Proven leadership experience and strong executive presence

  • Ability to work independently, on a team, and with remote teammates
