Eaton Corporation Supply chain manager in Hengelo, Netherlands

SYNTHESIS:

You will join our Hengelo plant, which is Centre of Excellence for innovative medium and low voltage systems and services; around 700 colleagues work on site. You will work under the direct supervision of the plant manager, and will be responsible for the whole site’s Supply Chain Management; therefore you will be expected to coach, guide and develop the supply chain team. We are looking for a supply chain manager who would be willing to develop further on the long run within Eaton.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead, manage, inspire and motivate a team of around 10 direct reports and overall population of around 70 colleagues; stimulate change and improvements within the team

  • Develop and implement an overall long term SCM strategy for the Hengelo plant

  • Lead the monthly Supply Chain and SIOP meetings

  • Manage commodities purchasing to ensure uninterrupted supply at optimum cost and quality

  • Lead the selection and relationship building with key vendors and suppliers

  • Maintain an essential balance between supplier quality, delivery expectations and cost reduction metrics. Focus on purchases from major suppliers, broad mix of commodities and multiple locations

  • Ensure that Operational processes are in line with internal guidelines and local legislation

  • Ensure timely availability of parts, subassemblies and materials for production and projects

  • Ensure that overall capacity planning in production/services and engineering are optimized Ensure that Metric and Review processes are in place

  • Organize specialist support in the field of Supply Chain Operational Excellence to actively contribute to the achievement of set performance and productivity goals for other divisional locations

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting in accordance with applicable procedures

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Supply Chain Management and preferably manufacturing experience within an industrial environment

  • Knowledge of Engineer to Order and Assemble to Order

  • Fluent English, Dutch would be advantageous but not mandatory
