IBM Senior DBA in HEREDIA, Costa Rica
Monitor Trouble Ticket queues for user, server and application trouble.
React quickly and efficiently to request for assistance from users
Troubleshoot Server and application issues
Must be able to work nights & weekends as required
Linux administrator skills - 3+ years working with RedHat / CentOS
Windows Administrator skills - 3+ years with Microsoft server OS, Active Directory
Experience working in production environments with uptime requirements above 99.9%
Able to follow written instructions with minimal supervision
Familiar with trouble ticket and change management systems / processes
Good written & verbal communication skills
Work closely with team mates across multiple geographies.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Senior Level Oracle DBA - 5 years
Senior Level Oracle RAC - 5 years
Senior Level Microsoft SQL Server - 5 years
Senior Level MySQL - 5 years
Experience with new installs, ongoing patching and maintenance, backups and troubleshooting of large (500+ GB) databases.
Experience with advanced database permission models.
Windows Server / RedHat / CentOS Linux administration skills (2+ years)
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
Knowledge of Database Security best practices.
