As an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI and a Primary Stroke Center, TriStar Summit is a leading provider of emergency heart and stroke care. There are more than 300 board-certified physicians representing over 36 specialties on staff, many of whom have offices located on TriStar Summit's campus.
Accountable and responsible for day-to-day activities and operations to ensure delivery of quality patient care in a safe and therapeutic environment.
Provides effective leadership that supports the mission, vision and strategic plan of the organization.
Coordinates with director and/or charge nurse to ensure staff effectiveness/productivity and appropriate resource utilization to achieve high quality patient care while meeting financial performance goals and objectives.
Serves as a role model and clinical resource for staff.
Responsible for initiating emergency response for entire facility during non-business hours (in absence of Hospital Administration).

Validates daily midnight census as directed by accounting practice and policy.
Accountable for efficient bed management and patient throughput through timely bed assignments and effective management of staff and resources.
Demonstrates ability to assess the patients and performs technical skills and procedures to meet patient care needs.
Demonstrates effective critical thinking skills and ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
Drives Patient Experience, Satisfaction and Service Recovery in the absence of the Director.
Promotes and exhibits teamwork.
Coordinates Post-Event Debriefs for patient safety or quality events in the absence of the Director.
Demonstrates ability to manage multiples tasks and projects in a productive manner.
Demonstrates interdepartmental support and teamwork through a supportive and collaborative approach.
Communicates in a professional manner.
Proactively evaluates departmental activity and volume for the Emergency Department and inpatient units.
Manages resources to assist with surge situations.
Responsible for assessing monitoring, and collaborating with AOC, CEO, and the Transfer Center for diversion situations.
Responds in a timely manner to requests for information or follow-up with physician, staff, or patient issues.
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred
Current TN RN licensure
American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS
Previous clinical experience
ACLS within 6 months of hire
PEARS or PALS within 6 months of hire
