Work you ll do
As an Associate, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects within our Data Management Technology group. You will leverage advanced technology-enabled solutions to help our clients more confidently make decisions and respond to litigation.
Day to day job responsibilities can include:
Execute tasks in a dynamic environment by working on both large multi-member team and individual assignments.
Follow documented processes and procedures for data processing using E-Discovery Solutions Center (EDSC) eDiscovery applications and internal systems
Perform quality checks per documented processes
Execute and support the setup, loading, and usage of review databases
Identify, analyze, and escalate issues as encountered
Assist the team in identifying areas of process improvement
Prepare client data deliverables
Provide internal and external client-focused service by providing both technical and consultative solutions.
Work flexible schedules to meet project deadlines. The EDSC operates 24x7x365.
Since 2008, Deloitte Risk and Financial Advisory has operated an innovative high-tech facility in Nashville, TN for e-discovery and computer forensics work. The EDSC is considered a leader in the industry and continues to increase capacity, quality, and efficiency of Deloitte Risk and Financial Advisory s electronic file processing by utilizing state-of-the-art technologies in a dedicated environment. Undergraduate degree in the following majors with relevant analytics or data management focused coursework desired:
o Data Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Math, or Finance
Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and teaming skills
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operative and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to perform troubleshooting and learn customized proprietary software
A strong understanding of Windows-based applications including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
While working at the EDSC, travel expectations are typically below 10%; however certain engagements may have travel requirements up to and exceeding 75%
Strong academic track record (minimum GPA of 3.2)
Additionally, we are seeking candidates with familiarity with a variety of tools and programming languages such as, but not limited to:
o Experience with one or more of the following preferred: SQL, SQL , Visual Basic/VBSCRIPT, MS-Access, C#, or Powershell
o Experience with advanced text editors (Notepad , Textpad, Ultraedit)
o General knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, Mac, UNIX, and Linux
o Experience with search tools and technologies using traditional Term and Boolean logic
o Hands on experience with ESI data processing platforms such as Nuix or ECapture
o Hands on experience with ESI data hosting platforms such as Concordance, Relativity, LAW, or Nuix
