Oracle Product Solution Strategy Manager | Utilities ADMS DERMS in Herndon, Virginia
Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

As aSolution Management Director in the Oracle Utilities Global Business Unit s advanceddistribution management area, you will support the Senior Director of SolutionManagement. You will be responsible for providing information and insightsregarding customers, markets and competitors to support business decisionsrelated ADMS, DERMS, Outage Management and SCADA/IoT. You will work as a solutionstrategist to keep on top of relevant changes in product, service and deliverydirection and the ways your solutions meet industry needs. You will translate your insight to businesscases, market analysis and GTM content. You will support the solution core teams toevaluate markets, drive key business initiatives, deliver on strategy documentsand work plans and measure performance.
Provides analysisto improve operational efficiency, consistency, and business performancealigned to our financial and business objectives across the legacy and futuredistribution management solutions portfolio
Drives standardbusiness practices and processes through the solution core teams
Conduct marketresearch to analyze product trends, determine product perceptions, evaluatemarket penetration and understand customer needs
Analyzesales/marketing performance and pricing trends and compile results reports
Conduct industryanalysis on customer, technological, economic and political trends acrossvarious geographic markets and solution areas
Responsible fordriving key decisions around future portfolio investment and regionalstrategies
Build businesscases for new product development
Work withpartners on identifying joint product solutions opportunities
Coordinate with productmarketing on market qualification documents
Makepresentations to the management team and sales personnel regarding financialperformance, market opportunity and solution direction.
University degreeor college diploma in business, marketing, or related field
10 years productmanagement/marketing/consulting/business strategy experience
5 years of UtilityAdvanced Distribution Management (OMS/DMS) product management leadership experience
Experience indeveloping DERMS solutions
Strongunderstanding of SCADA and IoT technologies
Ability todevelop strong relationships and work with senior level executives
Excellent financial,written and verbal communication skills
Excellent problemsolving & analysis skills
Quick learner anda self-starter
Solid businessacumen, management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong computerskills including Microsoft Office products
Effective timemanagement, organization and leadership skills
Ability to travelat least 30% or as required
