Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

Summary: We are seeking a Partner Development Manager for our Partner Product Management group to work closely with OCI s Global System Integrators to help drive adoption of OCI services across North America. Preferred candidates will have a mix of strategic business acumen and broad technology expertise in order to provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership to our partners and customers looking to scale their OCI practice(s).

We are looking for a strategic thinking, highly technical, world-class Partner Development Manager to join the OCI Partner Product Management team and lead our North American Global System Integrator efforts. Our Product Management teams work closely with Oracle Cloud engineering teams and key Global Systems Integrators to adopt, build, and deploy Enterprise workloads on OCI. This is a critically important role, acting as the public face of the organization, working directly with our most important and influential partners and their customers.
Our Product Management teams are customer obsessed, have strong communication skills, and can tailor their message depending on their audience. We expect our PMs to be comfortable whether they are presenting to a CIO, white-boarding with an architect, writing a whitepaper, or providing feedback to our engineering teams. We are looking for someone who has demonstrated the following capabilities:
Managing IaaS partners of all sizes, with a keen eye on scaling and growing the IaaS opportunities through the GSI channel.
Strong partner and customer advocacy with out-of-the box thinking on how to build an IaaS business by enabling partners at multiple levels of maturity, size, and scale.
Acute focus on achieving business objectives, technology evangelism, and ability to educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of cloud & technology services.
Working closely with sales and partner leaders and cross-functional teams crossing BU lines.
Adept at thriving in fast-paced and ambiguous environments like OCI which operates akin to a start-up within a mature organization like Oracle.
Strong background and familiarity with cloud services concepts and service delivery, with the ability to pass the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate exam within 180-days of starting on the team.
Build a strategic blueprint for GSIs to deliver OCI-based workloads to customers in select verticals and geographies.
Help our GSIs design, sell, and deploy OCI-based solutions for their customers.
Gather customer and partner references for workloads running on OCI.
Engender trust with partners, customers, field sales, engineering and management.
Communicate the Oracle cloud vision and articulate the value proposition of Oracle-based solutions that resonates with the target audience.
Build content and collateral to reflect our cloud investments, strategy and roadmap.
Engage deeply with customers, partners and engineering organizations to learn about the needs of our ecosystem and to provide actionable feedback from customers.
Excellent communication and business relationship skills, with an ability to right level conversations and produce results.

Highly technical and analytical, possessing 5 or more years of sales, business development, or technical pre-sales experience or IT professional services.
10 years selling or supporting services sales including project envisioning, planning, and scoping of work effort.
Strong understanding of Business & IT strategy and how enterprise customers approach IT architectural challenges and opportunities.
Expertise in implementing enterprise applications such as Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP either in private or public clouds
Deep expertise in sales management, account management, and collaboration with field sales, pre-sales, and technology partners to help customers learn and use technology services.
Ability to support short, on-site customer projects proving the use of cloud & technology services to support new OCI-based solutions.
Demonstrated ability to drive beta programs, and help customers to solve problems using cloud
Knowledge of other public cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCE).
Public profile or proven record of public speaking at relevant tech events.
