Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement models, standards, practices, for improving and aligning data use across microscope products. Coordinate with other software leads and architects to gain alignment.

  • Define and implement features of the software focused on reporting and data analytics.

  • Define and implement data-governance practices across product lines and diverse geographic groups.

  • Follow organizational practices and tools such as agile development, unit testing, source code and configuration management, code reviews, specifications, and documentation.

  • Make practical design choices given limited requirements and defined delivery schedules.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills to network across functional groups.

  • Deep experience in pragmatic implementation of architectural designs, with emphasis on Microsoft technologies (SQL Server, PowerBI, etc.). Experience with other technologies a plus.

  • Solid software-engineering practices such as requirements, Agile processes, unit-testing, etc.

  • 10 years of experience developing data-intensive applications, including at least 5 years in architect role.

  • Eligible for passport and able to travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience “NoSQL” data technologies. Experience with PostgreSQL. Experience with master-data management and other data-management industry practices.

  • Knowledge of capital equipment manufacturing, large and near-real-time data analysis, electron microscopy, semiconductor or life-science industries a plus.
