The Senior Database Administration Specialist is a Database Expert with skills in MongoDB and Oracle who possesses critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex problems and issues quickly and accurately in order to recommend or take the most appropriate course of action. The candidate should have the ability to approach problems with an open-mind and create new and innovative ideas and methods, willing to accept change and adapt to organizational change and shifting priorities. The candidate must have the ability to think strategically and perform risk analysis and balance priorities in order to meet multiple requirements and deadlines while ensuring priority objectives receive proper emphasis. Responsibilities Include: Hands-on administration expertise with specialized technical knowledge of the MongoDB platform. Knowledge of modeling/architectural patterns, governance methodologies, and potential limitations within MongoDB Setup, configure, troubleshoot and monitor Disaster recovery using Oracle Dataguard 11g & 12c RAC Databases as per Oracle best practices Setup, configuration, troubleshooting OEM 11g/12c and ability to write custom scripts for automation of routine tasks, system reporting, alerts, and notifications Design and implement processes for database backups, restores and recovery models using RMAN Qualifications: Minimum 3-4 years of experience in MongoDB with expert level knowledge of DBA skills using Oracle 11g/10g. Must have expertise in installation, configuration, upgrade, migration & administration of Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC) for versions 11g/12c using ASM/ACFS Experience with Database Encryption technologies such as Oracle TDS, Vormetric, SQL Server TDE Big PLUS - Manage SQL Server 2008R2/2012/2014 for the enterprise. Assist with the design, implementation and support of a highly available SQL Server infrastructure platform. Superior level Performance Tuning & Troubleshooting skills and perform database maintenance and Optimizations tasks such as index usage analysis, AWR analysis, index management, statistics, partition management, data compression etc. MUST have Experience in Unix/Linux and Shell scripting.
