Individuals receive the best quality care through specialized services in safe, healthy, confidential and calming environments.

HCA Nurse Residency Program (Behavioral Health Unit)

StaRN Program (12 weeks total): * The StaRN Program is primarily designed to provide the graduate nurse with the tools necessary to succeed in today’s hospital environment.

  • It will help the graduate nurse transition out of the classroom setting onto the unit by providing the following training: o 6 weeks classroom, self-study, skills & simulations

    o 6 weeks preceptorship on the Behavioral Health Unit

    o Certification achieved: ECG, TeamSTEPPS, BLS/ACLS, CPI

    o Training: Trauma Informed Care and HCA Corporation Behavioral Health Core Curriculum After StaRN, the graduate nurse will transition to our Professional Development Residency :

  • 9 month program factored into your full time position 0n the Behavioral Health Unit

  • Obtain Charge Nurse and Preceptor skills

  • Partnered with a mentor to complete an evidence based Capstone Project (4 hours a month)

  • Your project could get reviewed by corporate for further recognition Additional Information about Our Behavioral Health Unit:

  • Inpatient services

  • Partial Hospitalization

  • Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program

  • Military Behavioral Health Unit

    o 8 beds

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school within the past 6 months. BSN graduate preferred

  • Applicants can apply and be offered a position prior to passing the NCLEX exam

  • Applicants should not have acute care / hospital RN experience

  • Previous nursing support or service industry experience preferred

  • Self-motivated and strong communication skills required
