The Bid Manager will support the proposal management process in response to both Pre-Sales Stage 1-4 (SS1-SS4) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) on deals. The ability to meet deadlines, a commitment to teamwork, and detailed follow-through will be the key to success in this role. This position will work closely with our stakeholders (deal teams) to assist in the creation of strategic messaging and the development of winning proposal strategies. IBM Design Thinking Coach Badge preferred. Candidate will be responsible for RFP analysis, working proposal processes overall, and providing assistance to STS contract squad members and deal contributors from other IBM functions.

Responsibilities:

Analyze pre-sales request and/or RFP requirements and work with the OO to develop compliance matrix, proposal schedule, proposal outline, and kickoff materials

Facilitate IBM Design Thinking sessions in support to the deal teams to develop effective win themes and proposal design strategies;

Facilitate proposal kick-off, ongoing stand-up meetings, and deal team reviews;

Support proposal content key messaging working closely with the writer and designer

Owns the communications with the opportunity owners, monitors and communicates client solicitation developments, keeping all STS and IBM functional contributors updated, revising proposal outline/schedule/etc. as appropriate;

Work with deal teams to present to the client

Client: The bid manager will interact with the opportunity owner and the areas responsible by the deals approvals (Pricing, Legal, etc) to improve the quality of bids by leveraging the collective wisdom of group to produce more competitive and creative value propositions. Also will be part of a Agile squad with other Q2C resources.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Agile knowledge

Demonstrated experience in leading IBM Design Thinking sessions, proposal design and strategic messaging, management of deliverable design and production, and delivering on-time competitive proposals.

Strong organizational skills and time-management capabilities, as well as written and verbal communications skills. The successful candidate will be equally adept at leading a team of writers, designers, and other contributors responding to a complete proposal.

Lead orals coaching sessions, reflection and leading the development of storyboard/key messages.
