Our greatest asset has been and will continue to be our people. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Business Analyst within our Marketing Group based in Houston, Texas.

  • Pro-actively identify Allegro issues and needs for continuous improvement in business processes and reporting

  • Drive consistency in processes and reporting between Natural Gas, Natural Gas Liquids, and Crude Oil

  • Gather business requirements for accounting, risk, trade control, and front office

  • Provide solutions for complex accounting requirements, including inventory valuation, Pipeline Loss Allowance, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles profit and loss reporting

  • Contribute in the design, development and implementation of SAP integration

  • Document and train users on Allegro system changes

  • Using industry knowledge, provide insight on Energy Trading Risk Management best practices

  • Deep understanding of the life cycle of commodity transactions – physical and financial

  • Troubleshoot valuation discrepancies

  • Design data validation queries for referential data, trade entry, scheduling, and actualization

  • Review processes and recommend changes to improve Allegro efficiency

  • Lead change management (requirements, design, development, testing, and implementation)

  • Subject Matter Expert for Allegro functionality

  • Plan and manage string, User Acceptance Testing, and regression testing to accept Allegro changes and upgrades

  • Communicate key insights to stakeholders, facilitators, and partners


  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or management information systems

  • 7 years of experience in system implementation and configuration

  • Significant experience in crude oil, natural gas or Natural Gas Liquids marketing environment

  • Strong communication and organization skills

  • Functional configuration knowledge of Allegro 8

  • Experience with Structured Query Language

  • Self-motivated and self-starting
