The West Coast Sr Commercial Operator is accountable for execution of all main fuels movements in support of both the SOPUS Oil Products supply chain in the PNW, Puget Sound Refinery, Canada as well as the collaborative efforts made by STUSCO Products trade books in the PNW market. In terms of product slate, this role includes both gasoline, distillates, and low sulfur jet. Sourcing for products includes 3rd party manufacturers, as well as product/marine movements secured through exchange agreements or traded in terminals and in transit.
Schedule product movements into OPL and KM logistic systems to meet Retail demand at both equity and OSP terminals.
Interact with Puget Sound E&S group to ensure monthly MOP premises are met
Coordinate blend down and blend up at our Equity Facilities to meet internal/external customers.
Analyze risks and optimize opportunities and present proposals to key stakeholders to maximize profitability.
Responsible for daily updating/ monthly participation in make buy blend process and adhering to S&OP processes.
Review contracts agreements and ensuring requirements are met.
Managing scheduling data to ensure its accurately recorded in the Shell system. Responsible for keeping accurate records of companies legal and fiscal obligations.
Build & maintain effective relationships with traders, channel optimizers, schedulers, and other team members to develop logistical solutions to meet commercial solutions.

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Minimum 6 years of experience in scheduling within the Trading sector to include a focus on crude or related products.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Knowledge of both oil and freight operations required.
Marine experience in operations, or similar process preferred.
Able to work around West Coast hours.
The added complexity of the Commercial Operator will require the following skillsets: Ability make decisions quickly often with incomplete data
Must be able to manage large number Trading stakeholders.
Ability to work, and learn autonomously with minimal supervision
Able to plan, organize and prioritize.
Strong commercial acumen to recognize the operational areas of potential value creation, or loss, of a trading deal, and the ability to identify new opportunities.
