There is no relocation offered and no remote option (post covid).
IBM CIO is seeking an experienced DNS security professional for the CIO Cybersecurity program. You will be responsible for the operation and delivery of DNS-layer services that provide a first line of defense for IBM against threats, both on and off the corporate network. You will be responsible for the delivery of the VPN roaming client across the IBM enterprise, blocking of malicious web traffic, and the dissemination and integration of relevant threat intelligence from the DNS services.
This role requires a self-motivated, life-long learner who is well versed in Cybersecurity. You will need to have a strong knowledge and experience with DNS-layer services and Cisco Umbrella.
You will act as the delivery authority for DNS-layer security services for the CIO as well as actively contribute in the performance of day-to-day team responsibilities on the CIO Cybersecurity Engineering squad
You will lead the support and improvement of the deployment of Cisco Umbrella to the IBM enterprise
You will monitor the DNS service for all aspects of reliability and performance. Leverage metrics to appropriately scale and roadmap the service
You will support and mentor more junior staff members to improve the overall level of service delivered by the CIO Cybersecurity team
You will develop playbooks to optimize the Umbrella SaaS platform
You will integrate ServiceNow workflows to automate web blocking and support tickets
You will prepare detailed metrics and reports for all Business Units and executive leadership

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
2 plus years of DNS security and tools that assist in protection from DNS based threats such as Palo Alto DNS Sinkhole, InfoBlox BloxOne Threat Defense or Cisco Umbrella
A deep understanding of network security principles and how to apply them in the DNS-DHCP-IPAM (DDI) space.
Experience working with 3rd party internet DNS hosting services.
Confidence in supporting DNS interoperability in hybrid cloud architectures
Desire to try things and iterate on them, fail fast, and focus on functionality that matters
Understanding of threat actors with the ability to articulate how they operate and demonstrate how they subvert common security controls
Experience with security frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, Center for Internet Security (CIS) controls, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC)
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
4-6 plus years professional experience in IT and/or Cybersecurity, preferably with an DNS services or infrastructure team
Ability to read and write basic logic in any scripting or programming language to manipulate data or communicate with an API
Firm knowledge of ITSM tools and processes with a clear vision on how to apply service management principles to DNS
A professional IT Security certification (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA, OSCP)
