7-Eleven Food Service Field Manager in Houston, Texas


The Food Service Field Manager is responsible for the food profitability for all stores in the region. Ability to communicate, identify and design new initiatives to increase sales, work flow, and shrink in restaurant operations. They will work closely with the Regional Director to execute key strategies created by the Director of Restaurant Operations and the Merchandising team. Promote a passion for excellence in the restaurant operations. Demonstrate the ability to implement, direct, and facilitate all sanitation, maintenance and food safety programs. Ability to communicate, identify, and design new initiatives to improve profitability and work flow in restaurant operations. Promote professional growth and development of team members.


  • Drives the overall performance and execution of restaurant initiatives.

  • Analyze financial data (profit and loss statement) to identify sales opportunities and develop action plans to leverage store food sales.

  • Work with the Director of Restaurant Operations to improve product offering and selection.

  • Work with management teams to obtain feedback on ways to increase and promote sales within the region(s).

  • Builds strong, sales-focused teams through oversight of recruiting, hiring, training and coaching to develop top performers in all stores.

  • Support Area Managers in upholding the philosophy of treating all team members with respect and dignity.

  • Ensures all human resources policies and strategies are maintained timely and accurate; including performance reviews, succession planning, compensation transactions, turnover initiatives, new hires, terminations, leave of absences, employee relations, safety and legal compliance matters.

  • Inspire and guide teams to provide fast, fun and friendly service, creating a working environment and upholding the goals and brand image of the Company.

  • Promote food safety through coaching best practice during store visit.

  • Conducts store visits with Area Managers to train on food compliance and operations, develop strategies on different aspects of food operations and provide feedback to ensure execution and compliance of all company programs, initiatives, policies and procedures.

  • Ensures labor management tools are effectively implemented and utilized.

  • Facilitate food training as needed.

  • Help Area Managers in achieving financial performance and expense controls utilizing current reporting tools and developing new tools.

  • Develop positive and professional relationships with vendors.

  • Attend weekly/monthly meetings and communicate new developments, opportunities, etc.

  • Encourage and advocate customer service in greeting and assisting customers, and responding to customer inquiries and concerns.

  • Leads a value proposition that every experience will be fast, friendly and delicious.

  • Oversees 100% in-stock on top selling items by reviewing, identifying and assessing areas of opportunity through our established reporting system.

  • Review, identify and rectify service areas of opportunity with sales initiatives, mystery shops, staffing and audits.

  • Demonstrated skills in leadership and customer service.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and promote team members.

  • Ability to review financial statements and other reports to affect change.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers and/or team members on a daily basis where social sensitivity and effective interpersonal skills are necessary. Experience should include servicing customer requests, handling customer and/or team member concerns or complaints, explaining Company policies in difficult situations, and obtaining information or reports.

  • Ability to collect information from reports and other available resources, evaluate the accuracy and summarize the information into meaningful results.

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment when receiving assignments in the form of results expected, due dates, and general procedures. Act independently within the context of approved goals and budgets in establishing plans, policies, and/or procedures.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Working knowledge of PDI/Verifon/Topaz preferred


  • High school diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 6 years management experience required, food management experience preferred

  • Maintain current food handler and food safety manager certification as required by county

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with good driving record

  • Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
