Global Custom Commerce, Inc. has embarked on a new adventure. Although the company remains focused on dominating the entire blinds market, an effort is underway to develop a playbook to transform our business model to take on selling complex, hard-to-buy- products as well as improving customer experience. As a result, we have created a dedicated team focused on this effort known as the Interconnected Retail Team. This journey is exciting to us but definitely territory uncharted. We are looking for individuals who are comfortable with change, working with ambiguous situations but also willing to become pioneers to help us create a path to success. If selected to join the Interconnected Retail team, although you will have core responsibilities defined in this job description, you will also be asked to step outside of the box to help out in other areas as needed(similar to working in a start-up company mode).
The Interconnected Retail team is looking for a Senior Manager, Category Experience who is ready to leap into unknown waters. This individual will act as Product Manager for strategic projects; crafting user stories, prioritizing the backlog and working closely with the development team to deliver the right solution. This individual will also be comfortable participating in strategic business planning, presenting GCC capabilities and working with online and store merchants to understand their merchandising strategies and objectives. This position will analyze and leverage customer information and behaviors as well as competitive benchmarking to prioritize the most critical actions necessary to improve the customer research/shopping experience. Ultimately these improvements will result in improved customer and associate satisfaction, increased traffic and sales, and improved conversion. MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 6 years
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Strong numeric and advanced analytics aptitude
High comfort level with working in an ambiguous, fast paced environment
Experience in the role of Product Owner for a Scrum development team
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
Minimum of 2 years online experience
Ability to solve complex problems
Strong interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills (speaking, writing, presenting)
Ability to operate simultaneously and effectively in both tactical and strategic modes
Ability to think both strategically and tactically with good attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects
Prioritization, planning and task delegation
Basic technical aptitude with web-based tools and advanced proficiency of the Microsoft Office Suite
Proven ability in driving an online business performance
