Oracle Global Head of Content & Keynotes in Houston, Texas

Development of communication programs to promote Oracle's products & services.

Direct all Advertising / Public Relations / Communications marketing activity within the context of the overall corporate plan for the achievement of short and long term business objectives, increased profit and market control. Be an active member of the global Marketing team to ensure consistency of marketing campaigns and messages. Disseminate key corporate information to the line-of-business and geography operations pertaining to new product development/launches. Act as liaison with senior management to ensure that marketing activities are in support of sales plans. Direct marketing resources and budget to be deployed using the most appropriate marketing mix for the line-of-business and/or geography. Ensure consistency between global directions and single-geography/line-of-business implementation choices. Implement and monitor advertising campaigns on a line-of-business / geographical basis. Maintain necessary contact with major suppliers, agencies, customers, industry associations and government representatives to achieve marketing objectives. Provide effective performance management: set clear goals for all staff, provide regular feedback on performance and conduct a formal appraisal at the conclusion of the fiscal year. Manage the activities of the staff according to overall marketing strategies and budgets; including profit and loss. Implement organizational changes in line with changing business & market needs.

Assists in the creation of division strategy and consults with senior management in providing direction to ensure growth and financial success. Ensures a consistent approach of organizational policies and procedures. Software business management experience. Sales and Marketing experience in the IT industry. E-business Internet practical know-how. Proven ability to manage budget, approval processes, resource allocations. Professional credentials in Marketing, Academic credentials desirable. Past experience in Sales desirable.

The VP Content & Keynotes is responsible for changing the way Oracle communicates across the company. Fundamentally a storyteller and outstanding writer, this leader will help bring Oracle s brand, products and services, and strategic messaging platforms to life for our most important executive keynote presentations - whether the audience is watching in the room, is in a livestream setting, or downloading a recording. The team this person leads will work in close partnership with senior executives, event program owners, and product experts to develop customer-centric, crisp, engaging and memorable keynotes. In addition, this person will also establish a new standard for product messaging and certify employees across the enterprise.

Specific responsibilities include:

Build content and keynote teams from scratch.

Develop keynote content strategy for each event you support, with the objective of setting a visionary tone for the Oracle brand and products.

Work hands-on with subject-matter-experts and speakers to develop compelling content outlines and scripts and final presentations and videos.

Partner with keynote production and creative teams to ideate experiential and I interesting elements of keynote programs and ensure flawless execution of the run-of-show.

Lead rehearsals. Provide coaching support to help Oracle executive speakers hone and refine their presentation style over time.

Identify and cultivate a collection of certified executive storytellers across the product pillars.

Establish a new standard for product messaging and train the product marketing groups globally.


Design and build a high performing team.

Craft and execute on a plan for new processes for how keynotes are developed and presented at Oracle.

Transform our keynotes to be customer-centric and rooted in storytelling.

Deliver new public speaking program with a sufficient inventory of executives certified as keynote storytellers.

Develop new standard of messaging quality, create training workshop and certify 70% of product marketing managers worldwide.


15 years experience in content and keynote development

An exceptional communicator, with storytelling skills, who can write, present and effectively adjust messages to meet individual audiences and organizations

A hands-on builder of high performing team who can both lead and do

An enthusiastic, high-energy and motivating leader who is visibly passionate and is capable of inspiring and galvanizing an organization

Track record of partnering closely with keynote production and creative teams

Product marketing experience where conveying differentiation and business value is a key messaging approach

Familiarity with building content and keynotes around cloud products (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) as well as licensed products a plus.
