CBRE Insurance Analyst in Houston, Texas

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for performing duties of an analytical and problem resolution nature to insure that all related insurance, property taxes, and UCCs (Uniform Commercial Code) are in place to protect the applicable commercial real estate loan collateral. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITESMonitoring and compliance for insurance for commercial real estate loans.Monitoring and compliance for property tax for commercial real estate loans. Responsible for ensuring the timely filing and continuations of all UCCs. Prepare and maintain monthly quality reports and standards, including quality control audits.Complete UCC related search. Perform quality control function for Gen pact and third party vendors.General administrative tasks including building management, vendor management, office supply inventory, mail/fed ex, general correspondence, maintenance and updating of employee listings in various systems, equipment maintenance contracts, etc.Track UCC expirations. Other duties as assigned.

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED (General Education Degree) equivalent required. Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred. Minimum of 1 year of experience in Commercial Loan Servicing is required. Working knowledge of Commercial Loan documents, insurance, property taxes, and/or UCCs preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite Products (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.). Must be able to accurately perform numeric data input into the loan system. Must have the ability to create excel spreadsheets or other reports. Experience with McCracken preferred.
