Home Depot IT Security Analyst in Houston, Texas
The Security Analyst will focus on vulnerability analysis and remediation using deployed technologies such as Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, PDQ Inventory & Deploy, Qualys and Nessus Vulnerability Scanners, etc. The role will also own the configuration, support, maintenance and improvement of our Microsoft System Center environment. This includes working closely with system and application owners to ensure their environment is patch compliant.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
10%- Manage SCCM infrastructure, including maintenance, reports, collections, support groups, configuring boundaries, boundary groups, resource discovery, and integrating mobile-device management with Microsoft Exchange Server.
10%- Analyze data by using queries and reports.
10%- Deploy and manage the Configuration Manager client.
10%- Configure, manage, and monitor hardware and software inventory, and use Asset Intelligence and software metering.
10%- Identify and configure the most appropriate method to distribute and manage content used for deployments.
10%- Distribute, deploy, and monitor applications for managed users and systems.
10%- Maintain software updates for PCs that Configuration Manager manages.
10%- Manage configuration items, baselines, and profiles to assess and configure compliance settings and data access for users and devices.
10%- Configure an operating-system deployment strategy by using Configuration Manager for Windows 10 build upgrades.
5%- Complete regular internal system security audits using SCCM, PDQ Inventory, Nessus and Qualys.
5%- Remediate identified security vulnerabilities using SCCM, PDQ, group policy, and/or Windows registry fixes where applicable.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
SCCM certified (70-703).
SCCM Orchestrator experience
CEH, CISM, CISSP, and/or Security+ certifications
Linux/Unix patch and vulnerability management
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
Strong understanding of vulnerability remediation and IT Security fundamentals.
Understanding of Microsoft Domain services including Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policies.
Exceptional verbal, written, and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and determine underlying true needs.
Ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards.
A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion.
