This role is part of the IT Services and Operations (ITSO) Downstream Manufacturing Service Operations Management (SOM) organization. The Manufacturing Infrastructure Lead (MIL) provides single point of accountability for all IT infrastructure service delivery and represents Manufacturing Business interests as a member of the Downstream Manufacturing Service Operations Management (SOM) team. This full time, with regular travel to sites role drives Downstream Service Operations Management (SOM) infrastructure standards within the Manufacturing space and provides input to the Service Operations Management (SOM) Leadership Team where IT infrastructure strategy, activities, spend, services and sourcing is optimized for Downstream Manufacturing locations globally.

Manufacturing Infrastructure Lead are required to have a measure of technical knowledge, and the ability to bring innovated thinking to the table, and ultimately to deployment. Central drive sometimes conflicts with local desire. Manufacturing Infrastructure Lead must possess conflict resolution skills, the lead difficult conversations, along with oral and written communication skills.


  • Infrastructure project delivery

  • Funnel for infrastructure projects via multiple IT delivery organizations, responsible to coordinate and communicate with site

  • Infrastructure Service escalation

  • Business impact, site response coordination, Root Cause Analysis participation

  • Infrastructure Demand Management, including forecasting

  • Service Operations Management engagement focal point at the regional/site level (Stakeholder Management)

  • Cluster management for Infrastructure Service Providers On-Site Support teams

  • Driving priority alignment and information flow with IT Managers

  • Coordinating delivery with 3rd Party Suppliers (non-ISP)

  • Ensure the health of a Manufacturing sites major infrastructure components

  • LAN, WAN, Mobility, Radio, PABX, LDC and Cellular

  • Data Management, Finance (C&P) and vendor payments

  • Input into capital planning to mitigate deficiencies and/or drive improvement opportunities

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.

  • Minimum Education or Certification: 4-year Degree related to IT.

  • Minimum eight (8) years’ experience in a multi-disciplined IT environment with strong background in IT service delivery, service management and contract management.

  • Strong interpersonal relationships and influencing skills, able to exert leadership across multi-organizational boundaries, often without direct positional power.

  • Team player that displays personal effectiveness.

  • Pro-active and self-motivated.
