Your Role and Responsibilities
The Sales Manager will lead a team to achieving financial objectives for both revenue and Signings in the Public and Federal Markets.

Lead sales team to meet and/or exceed monthly and quarterly quota objectives.
Drive double digit growth in MVS revenue and signings while also protecting IBM logo revenue/profit.
Responsible for recruitment, performance management, retention, skill-enhancement, training and succession planning. You will drive superior sales performance through inspirational sales coaching.
Understand the Public Market and how clients conduct business in this marketplace which includes State & Local, Healthcare, as well as Federal.
Grow and strengthen the relationships with Systems, and Global Technology Services Infrastructure Services into trusted partnerships driving cross brand opportunities.
Develop and maintain a system of continuous education for the team
Enhance sales performance through expanded use of digital and social processes and capabilities.
Demonstrate operational excellence through the disciplined management of key performance indicators, streamlining of inside sales processes and optimized resource deployment to improve pipeline yields and drive seller productivity.
Drive a client first culture with superior NPS outcomes and client references for TSS
Self starter & Servant leader
Articulate and confident in communication skills
Ability to build and manage a new team
Commitment to stay current with IBM's TSS offerings and industry/sector trends
Top notch communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to establish rapport at multiple levels of decision makers
Skilled in negotiation and problem solving
Experience managing sales cycles from opportunity identification to close
Strong understanding of technical concepts, data center technologies, and maintenance trends
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 5 years experience in leading successful sales teams
Readiness to travel 50% travel annually.
Initiative to engage clients and teams to implement strategy and lead deals
Solutions oriented mindset and skilled in prospecting into new clients and new buyers.
Ability to train, mentor, and coach individuals at various stages of development
Understanding and knowledge Data Center technologies
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Self-motivated decision maker, taking initiative and recognizing opportunities to create and expand partnerships
Strong business analysis and strategy skills including business case development
Project management and leadership
