POSITION PURPOSE

The SEO Specialist is responsible for developing and executing initiatives designed to drive traffic and revenue. Traffic and sales will be targeted through increased presence and position across search engines such as Google, Bing, and Yahoo!.

The SEO Specialist is a vital part of the Earned Media Team driving search engine initiatives, partnering across various internal teams (Merchandising, Core Marketing, IT, etc.) and external agency/vendor partners. The SEO Specialist will be responsible for managing and executing day-to-day tactical SEO strategies, including: keyword research, continuous site auditing, recommend on-page optimization, analytics analysis and discovering new growth opportunities. This associate will be able to leverage on-page, off-page, mobile, local and social aspects of SEO to meet business goals. MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

30%- Handle SEO on an advanced level including keyword research, on-page optimization, content amplification, off site strategies, advanced CTR evaluation and website traffic evaluations, etc. Assist in technical SEO initiatives such as redirect analysis, log file analysis, robots.txt, mobile strategy, and site speed optimization.

20%- Responsible for evangelizing the evolving world of search engines at all levels of the organization in terms of best practices, competitive, industry standards, and business requirements.

20%- Work closely with internal partners, Content, Social, Merchandising, and CX, to make recommendations on topics and for content development and distribution based on research and SEO reach. Collaborate with Design/UX and BI team members to ensure best analytics implementations

15%- Create and adjust plans based on the interplay and performance dynamics between PC, Mobile, and Tablet devices based on customer behavior.

15%- Measures ongoing effectiveness of programs against target metrics and makes frequent adjustments to leverage any changes in the evolving world of search.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

A steadfast passion for SEO and internet marketing and internal drive to continuously learn and keep up with the latest industry trends

Proven SEO experience and understanding

Experience in search engine marketing including on page, off page, technical, social and local SEO strategies

Experience using SEO and business related tools including: Omniture/Adobe SiteCatalyst, Google/Bing Webmaster tools, Google Adwords, SEOmoz, Conductor Searchlight and keyword research tools

Proficiency with PowerPoint and Word, and advanced skills with Excel

Basic understanding of HTML/CSS

E-commerce knowledge and experience

Prior analytics and data analysis exposure

Project management experience associated with interactive marketing and/or web projects

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail; self-starter
