Job Description:

The System Engineer role is for the Environment Lead for the Retail Site systems test environment in Houston. The Environment lead is charged with the management and setup of the windows based Retail Site Systems test environment without any supervision. Key challenge is to complete environment setup on time and provide necessary guidance to other junior analyst to ensure overall delivery on time. The resource is also expected to help with Business UAT testing and remote support of wholesaler testing efforts.

Key accountabilities for the landscapes in scope are:

  • Accountable for overall test environment management process

  • Accountable for overall delivery and maintenance of the test environment for all projects within the solution.

  • Responsible for preparing/ managing test environment plan for the solution/ projects.

  • Responsible for coordinating work with the offshore Test Environment Lead in ITHB.

  • Manage support for training environment setup & maintenance in the Local Retail Site Systems Test Lab (Houston).

  • Manage communication with vendors for the solution.

  • Helping vendors & wholesalers with keeping their lab environments current.

  • Responsible for tracking hardware and software inventory for Retail Site Systems Houston Lab.

Requirements:

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.

  • At least five (5) years of working experience in IT Infrastructure role.

  • Proven Experience in the following;

  • Point of Sale (POS) & Fuel Dispenser setup & configuration.

  • Windows configuration management.

  • Build deployment/installation and troubleshooting.

  • Troubleshooting issues that impacts operations of retail site system devices.

  • Windows server installation/configuration/management along with DHCP/DNS management.

  • Networking (L1 and L2), VLAN configuration, subnetting.

  • Desktop/laptop/hardware peripheral installation/configuration.

  • Problem solving & communication skills.

  • Diebold Nixdorf, VeriFone, Gilbarco & NCR solutions is an advantage.
