IBM Watson Health - Senior Delivery Lead in Houston, Texas
Must be on site 5 days a week in Santa Fe, New Mexico
The Senior Delivery Lead is the highest technical position on the account. This role will technically lead, coordinate, and facilitate collaboration across the areas leads on the account. Additionally, this role will become the Senior Lead/Account Executive’s trusted technical advisor, assisting in maximizing value to the client and to the State recipients. The role will serve as the DDI (Design, Development, and Implementation) Delivery Manager during Solution Implementation, with the possibility of moving into the Account Deputy position during Maintenance and Operations phase of the contract. This role will actively support the Senior Lead/Account Executive in:
End-to-end Service Delivery
Operational Business Planning
Value-add Sales/Business Development
End-to-End Implementation Activities
Own and lead multiple, simultaneous technical initiatives to deliver quickly, with quality and to contract specifications.
Effectively communicate the IBM Watson Health value proposition and messaging, including delivering results into metrics and information that resonates with our customers and their executives.
Actively participate in regular on-site client meetings to understand client business, product development, usability, and/or testing requirements to ensure successful engagement delivery.
Create and manage internal communication and collaboration strategies across all technical teams participating in the delivery including but not limited to Systems, Security, Data Warehousing, Reporting, and Analytics.
Develop strong customer relationships that enable IBM Watson Health to become a trusted adviser for our customer’s data and analytics needs.
Develop issue mitigation plans that address engagement implementation issues and risks.
Partner with the Senior Lead/Account Executive to scope and price complex initiatives, including new scope and sales.
Work with the teams to channel client feedback and identify ways to improve the client experience and satisfaction.
Maintain domain, customer management, and customer industry expertise.
Assists with robust communications with the client and within IBM Watson Health (support) regarding expectations and performance.
Assist in leading the delivery according to established project schedule.
Understands the client’s definition of thought leadership and innovation and incorporations that into the operational business plan.
Assists in representing the full spectrum of IBM Watson Health capabilities to the client and serves as the client advocate inside IBM Watson Health.
Successfully assisting the creation and execution of an ongoing account operational business plans that connect IBM Watson Health and client strategies to maximize the overall health of the account and value to the client.
Assists in driving transformational changes needed to achieve the account objectives.
Uses thought leadership and industry expertise, IBM Watson Health portfolio, and competitive factors to design and deliver timely, innovative, highly leverageable, competitive value solutions IBM Watson Health can optimally deliver.
Anticipates, mitigates, and manages risk to IBM Watson Health and the client.
Assists in providing strategic direction for the custom data warehousing implementation to ensure project and organizational objectives are accomplished.
Provides implementation management leadership through planning, organizing, coordinating, and monitoring implementation activities
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Must be available to work 5 days on site in Santa Fe
8+ yrs in a consulting, client services or IT role, with client contact at senior levels and demonstrated business development skills
6+ yrs as a Technical Delivery Lead OR lead for large scale DW system and systems integration project
6+ yrs experience managing, coaching and developing technical staff
4+ yrs leading implementation and operational activities for a Medicaid Agency/Fiscal Agent
State agency experience
Understanding of the concepts, practices, procedures and deliverables associated with system development, implementation and operational readiness
Deep technical knowledge to work with technical teams to develop comprehensive operation plans and address technical issues
Interact with clients, lead meetings and interface with C-level customers
Proactively identify issues and risks, plan work and accomplish goals on schedule and within budget
BA/BS strongly preferred or 15+ yrs professional exp required
