FLSA Status: Exempt, Full Time, Regular


The Advanced Logistics Analyst requires expert ability to lead teams and / or work independently, to solve complex life cycle logistics problems and develop life cycle logistics policies, plans, procedures and documents. The Advanced Logistics Analyst will identify and apply concepts, policies and practices of logistics management as they apply to new and legacy systems during the sustainment phase of the life cycle.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and follow published policies and regulations.

  • Perform continuous process improvement, contract management, acquisition, planning, funding, and management information systems.

  • Establish, develop, update and manage policies, instructions, procedures and strategies in accordance with statutory, regulatory, and policy processes and procedures.

  • Develop, review, analyze, and validate comprehensive Product Support Strategies.

  • Work as an effective team member and / or team leader to solve complex life cycle logistics problems in support of Government requirements.

  • Effectively use methods and tools to mitigate risks, including planning for risk, assessing risk areas and developing risk management options

  • Develop presentations and information papers; research, analyze, and compile data into information, decisional, and instructional briefings; and develop metrics to track level of effort and progress in preparation for senior level reviews and updates

  • Effectively and independently present presentations and briefings to senior leaders.

  • May be required to provide daily supervision and direction to support team in compliance with Policies and Procedures and applicable laws.

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • BA/BS and 10 years of lifecycle logistics experience with experience overseeing day-to-day operations or,

  • AA/AS and 15 years applicable experience

  • Must possess or attain one of the following certifications within 12 months of start date

  • MA/MS in Life Cycle Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Engineering, or similar logistics specialty

  • Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Certification

  • Life Cycle Logistics level 3 or

  • Program Management level 3

  • Program Management Institute

  • Program Management Professional Certification (PMP)

  • Society of Logistics Engineers Certification

  • Certified Professional Logistician or

  • Demonstrated Master Logistician

  • National Property Management Association Certification

  • Certified Property Professional Manager (CPPM)

  • Interim Secret security clearance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to travel 10-20% to CONUS and OCONUS locations.

  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays, as required.

  • Expert knowledge of logistics and life-cycle management principles, concepts, policies, and regulations.

  • Expert knowledge of contractual processes, procedures, and technical requirements as it applies to logistical support.

  • Expert ability to meet and deal with customers using a high degree of tact and diplomacy

  • Expert ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, to include writing and preparing memorandums, letters, briefings and other official correspondence.

  • Expert knowledge and skills in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
