Learning Center Agronomist for Huxley, IA to coordinate commercial agronomic research program; execute variety & hybrid demonstration plots; administer & conduct crop protection efficacy and tolerance tests; develop & test agronomic system concepts; monitor & maintain weed management in corn and soybean; manage testing & evaluation of new products and traits; develop & conduct training events and tours for stakeholders; develop & maintain relationships with local growers and research farms; provide written summaries for sales, advertising & marketing; maintain USDA regulatory compliance.

Requires Ph.D. in Plant Sciences, Agronomic Sciences or closely-related field & 2 yrs post-doctoral commercial experience performing agronomic-related field research; conducting agronomic-related experimental design & field and test plot management; analyzing & interpreting agronomic-related statistical and geospatial data; performing agronomic-related research data & software management; conducting agronomic-related training events & tours for external groups and stakeholders; maintaining USDA & EPA regulatory compliance; and using agricultural research equipment for planting, harvesting & spraying.
