(GSC), DSR Engineer is responsible for:

  • Provide post-salestechnical services and support for Oracle Communications PCRF Oracle CGBU customers.

  • Perform integration ofnetwork nodes and play the role for designing and integration of networknodes in the 4G LTE/IMS network.

  • Plan and execute databaseconversions, cutover support, system migrations, system provisioning, andother services as needed for Oracle Communications PCRF/SPR/OCUDR Deployment

  • Provide installationsupport for Oracle PCRF/SPR/OCUDR coordination with Installation team

  • Work with customers toensure technical compatibility with third party products required for"turnkey" network implementations.

  • Complete large sizedimplementation assignments (multiple Oracle product configurations).

  • Create SAED, HLD (Highlevel design) and LLD (low level Design Documents.

  • Create, maintain andupdate detailed Statements of Work (SOW’s), Methods of Procedures (MOP’s),Completion Notices (CN’s), project plans and schedules of activities anddeliverables.

  • Support, create andexecute customer acceptance test plans (ATP's).

  • Assist in the sales cycleto understand size and scope customer requirements for complex serviceimplementation of Oracle products including capacity analysis, databasesizing requirements, special feature implementation, etc.

  • Prepare and load complex Oracleproduct configurations and provisioning.

  • Perform acceptances forthe product and applications.

  • Perform onsiteUpgrades/migrations.

  • Perform onsite/remotetroubleshooting of the issues reported during the project deployment cycle

  • Be an effective team playerand work under leadership, with team mates and subordinates.

  • Effectively communicateand work with the Customer Service management team and project managers ina multiple project environment.

  • Perform the duties assignedby management effectively and most efficiently to meat organizationalgoals.

  • Complete technical auditsof customer Telecoms networks.

  • Complete customer networkgrowth and capacity analysis projects.

  • Should be able to conduct Specialinternal and customer workshop when not covered by Training department.

  • Assist Customer and OracleIT to setup VPN for remote connections.

  • Should be ready to travelon short notices when needed.

Qualification, Experience, Communication andInter-personal skills desired :

  • BS in Computer Science,Electrical Engineering or equivalent plus a minimum of 6 years’experience in a technical work environment.

  • Excellent problemsolving/analytical skills.

  • Strong oral and writtencommunications skills. Must be able to clearly and effectively communicatework status, risks and issues.

  • Experience with systeminstallations at a customer site, supervising cabling and hardwaremounting with contract help.

  • Must have advancedknowledge of SS7/Sigtran/GSM MAP/TCAP/ protocol knowledge.

  • InDepth and hands on knowledge of emerging technology- PCRF/PCEF/SPR , DPI,AAA, Radius/Diameter and Diameter interfaces (Gx,Gy,S9,Sy,Sh ) used in 4G LTE and IMS environment.

  • Goodhands on knowledge on MySQL/Oracle Database and concepts.

  • Must have experience ofworking on Complex telecom project for deployment of SS7 and DiameterNodes/applications.

  • Working experience onTekelec DSR is highly desired.

  • Must have high level oftrouble shooting skills and knowledge of various tools needed for problemdiagnosis and corrective measures.

  • Must have experience increating project technical document like SAED/NAPD/HLD/LLD/ATP/SOW/ATPs.

  • Knowledge of Mobile NumberPortability Solution is highly desired.

  • A good understanding onscreening and policing is required.

  • Knowledge and experiencewith UNIX/Linux/Solaris would be a plus.

  • Knowledge and Shellscripting is desired.

  • Knowledge of Javascripting, Perl scripting, PHP scripting is desired.

  • Linux and Oracle databaseknowledge would be a plus.

  • Experience with MS Office includingVisio.

  • Understanding of LAN/WAN,routers, switches and VOIP applications in a telephony environment.

  • CCNA certification wouldbe highly desired.

  • Ability to interpret anddevelop detailed network/system drawings as needed.

  • Workingknowledge of domestic and international network architectures and networkimplementations is a plus.

  • Must be a self-starter andable to work independently with Field service experience in customerfacing roles.

  • Ability to effectivelydeal with multiple activities and changing priorities and proven problemsolving and organizational skills.

  • Perform under pressure incritical situations.

  • Willing to do domestic andinternational travel with minimal notice up to 65% of the time andoccasionally more often.

  • Ability to act underleader direction and exercise a leadership.

  • Ability to effectivelymanage issues according to the company guidelines and procedures (SR, RMAetc. ).

  • Ability to help the PM inhis activity

  • Ability to effectivelyinterface with outside organizations and customers.

  • Ability to interface withcolleagues, peers, or other internal contacts on general problemsassociated with specific issues.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Intermediate consulting position operating independently with some assistance and guidance to provide quality work products to a project team or customer that comply with Oracle methodologies and practices. Performs standard duties and tasks with some variation to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer specifications.

Standard assignments are accomplished without assistance by exercising independent judgment, within defined policies and processes, to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements.

2-5 years of overall experience in relevant functional or technical roles. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.
