Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 more years of software engineering or related experience.

Position: Consulting Member of Technical Staff, Oracle Cloud InfrastructureEngineering

This individual will be a Consulting member ofTechnical Staff within the Engineering organization supporting the Oracle DynDNS platform. Primarily focused on delivering the implementation of ournext-generation DNS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure platform.
Day-to-dayactivities include Leading, consulting oroverseeing multiple architectural engagements. Working on highly complexprojects that should have in-depth knowledge within a domain: technical,solution, business or information. Leads domain specific architecture. Worksacross multiple technical and functional domains.This is a greatopportunity to exercise significant influence in working with Servicedevelopment teams and fellow architects to collaboratively define and championDNS architecture network design patterns and best practices.Working closely with DNS stakeholders, peer DNS Architects, leadengineers, OCI Operations teams, and Security to design solutions fromconception to market including prototyping and light development
Youdemonstrate thought leadership and passion for DNS, Cloud computing. Theideal candidate will be self-motivated and possess a wide range of skills andexperience. This individual should have the ability to understand businessneeds, work closely with product owners and strike a good balance betweenbusiness goals and technical implementations. This individual will also befairly autonomous and be expected to contribute to a wide range of high-impactprojects across the organization. The ideal candidate will be an experiencedleader.
Hands on Design and architecture network and software development at scale.
Design solutions that scale to billions of Queries per second.
Analyze & interpret business needs to develop technical specifications, and architecture diagrams and design documentation.
Evaluate various implementations to determine compliance with business needs and external specifications.
Perform troubleshooting and coordinate problem resolution activities with engineering and support teams.
Establish and maintain productive relationships with peer organizations.
Providing review and input to business needs, and using those to develop technical needs, and eventually deployable systems.

At least 10 years experience in design and architecture Specific experience with scaling backend data systems, DNS services and Networks
Should be able analyze current state and emerging requirements and subsequently deliver architecture design documents and prototypes
Should be able to guide technical teams through the successful execution of solutions which align with architectural design
Should be able document and articulate to various types audiences highly complex problems and proposed solutions.
Expertise in C, C , GO, Java, Python (two or more preferred)
Knowledge of databases such as MySQL, Oracle RAC
Knowledge of caching servers such as Varnish or Nginx
Knowledge of Internet protocols and standards, including DNS, DNSSEC, REST, SSL and HTTP
General knowledge of the following categories of network systems: Multiprocessing, Threading, Distributed systems, Load Balancing and High Availability.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with minimum direction.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries and within groups.
Should be a flexible, resourceful, team player that is able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
Demonstrated ability to deliver the items listed in the major duties section.
