This is an exciting opportunity in Indianapolis, Indiana for a talented Executive Director IT – DBU (Distribution Business Unit) to lead a strong global team across 190 countries within our distribution centerswith opportunity to shape the future of this global power leader.
The Distribution Segment in which this role resides drives a comprehensive global distribution strategy and channel management, which provides sales, service and support to our customers around the world through the largest number of certified service and support locations of any engine manufacturer.
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
Participate as a key member of the IT Operations Leadership Team
Responsible for a significant IT area within the Distribution Segment
Responsible for financial management including AOP (Annual Operations Plan), budget management, and forecasting for a significant budget area.
Responsible for People Management including work plan development, performance management, and people development
Responsible for team building and development including organization structure, recruiting, global team management
Participate in the IT Function Development Review process
Compile and present Management Reports on team performance including metrics, deliverable status, etc.
Communicate status to senior management – IT and business. Accountable for Six Sigma training, usage and goal attainment for the team
Ensure team adherence to all IT processes, policies, and procedures including IT Security. Responsible of IT Controls compliance for the team
Engagement with customers in their respective function or business area
Governance/Leadership for all program/projects executed or supported by their teams
Provides enterprise-wide direction on the use of emerging technologies for Cummins Global IT while staying current on new technologies and platforms
Establishes and maintains collaborate, supportive, open and professional working relationships with a variety of executives, management and team members
Establishes and manages strategic vendor and partner relationships and ensures the organization is aware of and prepared for changes in technology
Proven track record and ability to build, develop and retain large teams of IT professionals
Responsible for a diverse team of 140 IT team members and 200 contractors across 6 continents supporting an $8 B business entity

Project Portfolio Management - Plans, prioritizes, sequences and manages one or more project portfolios utilizing analysis of portfolio risk and performance (diversification, value assurance assessment, company synergy, alignment, and long-term maintenance) to optimize and prioritize projects and maximize business value.
Strategic Roadmap Planning - Produces a high-level, multi-year product and capability roadmap utilizing internal and external business resource, asset and market knowledge and experience to communicate the organization's focus and priorities to internal and external stakeholders
College, university, or equivalent degree in Information Technology
Compensation and Benefits
Base annual salary commensurate with experience plus annual variable compensation. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
