This position is responsible for distribution of those investment strategies and solutions to Registered Investment Advisors (RIA). The RIA channel is one of the distribution channels within Wells Asset Management.

More specifically:

Drives sales and product knowledge for Wells Fargo Asset Management with Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs). Equips RIAs with the information, data and thought leadership to successfully present strategies and solutions to meet their client needs. Sources and strategizes ways to penetrate new markets to maximize competitiveness of strategies and solutions. Assists RIAs, if asked, with marketing, selling, closing, and retaining their larger account clients. Assimilates information from the RIAs and provides the sales manager feedback for Product, Sales, and Portfolio Managers. May make decisions on matters with significant financial impact and/or consequences.

Responsible for contributing to the development of seminars and works with sales management in developing sales ideas. In addition, this position will be responsible for co-hosting periodic fund manager conference calls and local meetings and providing expert advice regarding asset management solutions and practice management solutions.

The territory will be the Southeast covering LA, AR, MO, IN, KY, TN, MS, AL, NC, SC, GA and FL. The team member will work from a personal home office within the territory. Travel 50%-60% is required for this position.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of sales experience

  • Successfully completed FINRA Series 7 and 63 (or 66) exams to qualify for immediate registration (or FINRA recognized equivalents)

  • Ability to travel 80% of the time

  • Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. In addition state registration, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA review process at the time of offer acceptance.
