What you’ll get to do:
As a Field Service Specialist, you will provide field support activities by applying your technical knowledge and understanding of theory and application related to specific equipment or entire systems.
More about your role:
Oversee, perform installation, and certify systems in the field to include performing or assisting with design and test, operational readiness, maintenance, repair, and testing of a wide range of RF devices including but not limited to radios, antennas, RF/Fiber cable, and system hardware at customer sites.
Utilize system level functions, diagnostics, hardware manipulation, fault isolation, and other tools and processes to resolve problems of different complexity levels in systems.
System maintenance activities include troubleshooting, module and component replacement and system checkout, bench repair of chassis, card module, and/or component level.
Operate test equipment - to include function generators, signal generators, spectrum and network analyzers, power meters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, volt-ohm-ammeters, fiber optic meters, BIT error tester, and multimeters.
Solder and perform electrical assembly - to include chassis wiring, system assembly, soldering wire to multi-pin connectors, and soldering components (including surface mount) to circuit cards.
Maintain labs used for system integration, test, and lifecycle support.
Responsible for the control of technical data holdings pertaining to equipment and facilities.
Brief projects and systems status to technical management.
You’ll bring these qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Technology, IT Systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience/education) and 5 years + as a technician supporting SIGINT access, collection, or exploitation systems is required.
General understanding of RF infrastructure and HF/VHF/UHF antenna principles and experience with RF, fiber-optic, and network fault-isolation/test equipment.
Proficiency in the construction of various coaxial, semi-rigid, data, control and ribbon cable assemblies.
Broad experience across antenna technologies, test equipment, cable termination/repair, and system hardware integration.
Must be willing to support flexible work hours to align with customer operational schedule.
