We are seeking a Senior Software Quality Assurance Lead to create and maintain Quality Assurance and Test Plans, and guide the direction of others to accomplish a world class level of quality for product releases to customers. The Software Quality Assurance lead will direct project resources and activities to develop and execute test strategies and plans.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead, assign, and manage two other quality assurance analysts.

  • Develop testing strategy, plans, estimates, and schedule, to support projects and product releases.

  • Collaborate with multiple development team outside of our internal development team to ensure coordination of testing efforts to test plans.

  • Develop templates, tools, metrics and best practices to verify products to meet business and user requirements.

  • Lead/execute functional and user acceptance test cycles; set up Test lab with hardware/software configurations needed.

  • Evaluate and/or implement tools needed for test automation.

  • Participate in all reviews necessary to ensure quality in the product - requirements, design, status, code.

  • Provide documentation to management and project teams to determine release readiness of products or product features.

  • Facilitate development/maintenance of quality control standards/metrics to determine improvement areas and strategies in the overall product development life cycle; define, execute, and report results of audits, identifying process gaps/quality issues, risks.

  • Thought leadership in quality control, specifically increasing the use of automated, practices providing feedback at all phases of the product development life cycle.

  • Facilitate project problem solving and troubleshooting of quality issues with development.


  • Bachelor's degree in IE, Business, CS or appropriate combination of education and significant experience; Quality certification a plus.

  • 7 years of increasingly responsible experience in Quality Assurance including the following:

  • Development and execution of product/project QA and test plans.

  • Development and execution of test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts (automated QA) for all testing phases.

  • Definition of and reporting on project QA measurements.

  • Evaluating project deliverables based on quality metrics.

  • Leading quality teams to execute QA and test plans.

  • Defect management.

  • Project management and professional project management training desired.

  • Experience with testing educational assessment software application is a plus.

  • Ability to manage high volume working environment with multiple priorities simultaneously with aggressive deadlines.
