Expectations for the IRVINE -based ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ADMINISTRATOR :

Cummins Sales and Service Irvine branch is looking for an experienced AP administrator. The AP administrator is responsible for all accounts payable functions, vendor transactions from A/P invoice to vendor statement research.

  • Creates vendor files in accounting system with understanding of W-9 and 1099 implications

  • Inputs EDI and regional vendor invoices into accounting system

  • Administrator for Telamon accounts payable routing

  • Maintains all accounts payable files

  • Answers vendor inquiries and reconciles vendor statements

  • Completes accounts payable monthly closings within stated time frames (fiscal end of month)

  • Responds promptly to customer/vendor needs, responds to requests for branch service/assistance

  • Supports branch accounts payable administrator and CBS Nashville requests

  • Assists with special projects as needed

  • Duties may include backup receptionist duties as required

Qualifications

  • Able to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and follow through to task completion with interruptions.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Education, Experience, Licenses, and Certifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Two-year college degree preferred.

  • Three years administrative experience

Compensation and Benefits

Base hourly rate commensurate with experience.
